We chose this restaurant as according to Google Maps it was very close to our hotel & had Italian dishes which we like. At first, partly because the restaurant was so full, we nearly left when it seemed we were to be seated “cheek by jowl” in closely placed tables for couples which were all in a row. Our waitress, seemed to sense we were balking & suggested an empty table for 6 people with high chairs. Plenty of space & in a quieter corner so we snapped the offer up & settled in. With some help from our waitress we ordered beef ravioli & Pinsa. I was thirsty & I mean really thirsty & felt like having a beer 🍺 so I settled on the large (500 cc?) Swiss draft lager 🍺 which as my throat was as dry as a drover's dog I could hardly wait for! So Maria & I are chit chatting & the waitress suddenly popped up first with my beer 🍺 which she handed to me in a flash & said, “Zero alcohol!” I looked at her in stunned silence thinking, “ What the heck!,…. why on earth,… what would I want with a “Zero alcohol” beer for!” After a minute or so, the waitress (Tania as it turned out later.) felt I had suffered enough & still with an absolutely poker faced expression told me it had “some” alcohol in it so, as I was dying of thirst”, I finally felt I could take a long draft of the beer to slack my thirst 😮‍💨 5.2% to 5.4% if I had to guess & very pleasant! The banter continued & we had a lot of fun but what we ordered was pretty filling & even though we had in our minds preselected our dessert 🧁,.. unfortunately we just could not fit a last course in! So when we were leaving, no sign of Tania to say goodbye to but fortunately one of the staff retrieved her from the kitchen & I told her I often do Google reviews & said I would do one for this night 12 Sep. 2023. So goodbye it was & a big passionate hug 🤗 that I will never forget (& for Maria too!) Still can’t believe she is pure Swiss & that there isn’t a bit of Italian lurking somewhere there like in me,.. With the banter & all she made the evening a lot of fun! 🙏 Maria & David

I had the pleasure of dining at La Pasta during my recent visit to Zurich, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. This quaint pasta shop nestled in the heart of the city captivated me with its warm ambiance and delectable menu. I couldn’t resist trying their Bolognese, and I must say, it was a culinary masterpiece. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful, with generous portions of minced meat that satisfied my taste buds in every bite. We also ordered their Vongole pasta. The dish exceeded my expectations with an abundant amount of fresh clams and a sauce that burst with delightful flavors, leaving me craving for more. For those who appreciate the earthy richness of mushrooms, the Creamy Mushroom Pasta is an absolute must-try. The creaminess was well-balanced, allowing the natural essence of the mushrooms to shine through, making it a satisfying indulgence. As a sweet conclusion to my meal, I savored their Crème Brûlée. The dessert was perfection, striking the ideal balance between sweetness and creaminess, leaving me with a lingering sense of satisfaction. Beyond the outstanding culinary experience, I was equally impressed by the staff’s attentiveness and friendly demeanor. Their warm hospitality added an extra layer of joy to the dining experience. In summary, La Pasta is a gem in Zurich, offering a delightful selection of pasta dishes that cater to all palates. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to indulge in authentic and delicious Italian cuisine, complemented by exceptional service. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their tempting menu. A five-star experience all around!

Nestled right in the heart of Zurich, La Pasta stands out as a culinary delight, especially for pasta lovers. The pasta here is perfectly cooked, and the sauces are rich and flavorful, contributing to a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is complemented by the excellent service, with staff who are both friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall positive vibe. While the pasta dishes are the stars of the menu, the salad, priced at 14 CHF, was somewhat disappointing. Described as a simple mix of cut vegetables, it felt lackluster and not quite worth the cost, which was a slight letdown amidst an otherwise stellar meal. Despite this, I would definitely recommend La Pasta for its superb pasta and welcoming atmosphere. It's a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy a good meal in the center of Zurich. We paid 92CHF for 2 pastas, 1 kids pasta, 1 "salad", and 1 small beer.

Culinary Delight in Zurich

Nestled in the heart of Zurich, La Pasta Restaurant stands out as a true gem, offering an authentic Italian dining experience that is both delightful and sophisticated. From the moment you step inside, the warm and welcoming ambiance sets the stage for an evening of culinary excellence.

La Pasta prides itself on delivering a genuine taste of Italy, and it undoubtedly lives up to that promise. The menu is a masterpiece of authentic and delicious Italian cuisine, with each dish crafted to perfection. The pasta selection, diverse and extensive, is a testament to the culinary artistry at play. Every bite is a symphony of flavors, leaving patrons with an appreciation for the rich tapestry of Italian gastronomy.

During our visit, a standout among the appetizers was the carpaccio with burrata—a combination that transports taste buds to new heights. The freshness of the ingredients and the meticulous preparation were evident in every bite, making it a heavenly start. The pasta dishes, each a star in its own right, were nothing short of exceptional, demonstrating a mastery of the craft that sets La Pasta apart. The chestnut crème brûlée emerged as the undeniable protagonist of the evening. Decadent and expertly crafted, it left a lasting impression, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to both traditional and innovative culinary experiences.

The service at La Pasta is a true highlight, characterized by impeccable attention to detail and genuine kindness. From the front of the house to the back, the staff exudes professionalism, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Their passion for hospitality is palpable, making La Pasta a must-visit for both locals and tourists alike. We visited twice during the few days we were in town, simply had to go back for more!

I am already looking forward to future trips to Zurich, with La Pasta undoubtedly on my list of must-visit establishments. To the entire team at La Pasta, thank you for the warm hospitality and for creating a dining experience that transcends the ordinary. La Pasta is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey through Italy right in the heart of Zurich.
