Devastating ! I do not recommend this place at all! Unprofessional services from the "apparent manager" from this restaurant. I went in to Chopsticks Express to dine in and a waitress lady attended to us, no one else was in the restaurant at that time. I was keen to try the egg fried rice and she asked if we want it in the small or big portion. I told her i wanted it in small portion only. As she started to take the small plate, her manager spoke to her in Chinese that " they're 3 person, tell them we only serve in big portion for lunch". She conveyed the same to me as well. I asked the waitress again, if its applicable also for take away, and if we really have to buy the big portion as its only meant for 1 pax. She said yes, we had to purchase big portion as directed by the manager. They're just trying to maximise their profit by forcing us to buy the bigger portion, which was ridiculous to treat such way to the tourist. I didn't want to argue much, hence i told her please serve us the big portion. Once she served us, the manager again reiterated to her on high note in Chinese that " tell them they're not allowed drink their own bottle, its not allowed". And as the waitresses started to convey the message in English to me, I told her back that I'm aware of what he's speaking about neither of us even drank our own water - as I understand Chinese as well. And she kept quiet after that. I respect the restaurant's policy of not bringing/ drinking our own drink, yet there's always a nice way to convey the message to the diners. I find the "manager" being extremely rude and judgemental in his service and hospitality not knowing that we could understand chinese as well. Hr was very judgemental in his looks and was keep observing us if we drank our water and that made us very very uncomfortable. The food quality was so-so only and it was very oily as well. I was very frustrated and dissapointed with their service level and rudeness towards customers. I will NOT dine in there anymore neither WILL NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant to anyone else or any other tourist anymore! Please don't waste your time here as there are plenty of other restaurants which you can explore as well. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!

Read more东坡猪肘 is a pig knuckles dish on the chef’s recommendation list. Another dish we ordered on the chef’s recommendation list is 麻辣香锅. It is a fragrant seafood wok dish that included prawns and crab (very substantial). Based on my subjective viewpoint, the first two photos is a proof of how appetising the food is.
Including fried rice (5 CHF), beer (5.50 CHF), Brown Sugar Bubble Tea (7.50 CHF), the total bill amounted to 82 CHF for the meal ordered by 2 people. Price is very reasonable after visiting Chinese restaurants in Bern and Montreux.
Three young male staff are very polite and patient to cater to the customer’s needs. Restaurant served various customers, both local and tourists. Tourists that visit during the duration of my meal included Koreans, Indians and Chinese.
The young male staff were professional in providing good and friendly service. After payment was made, the male staff met our request of filling tap water in our bottle, even asking whether we wanted hot, or cold water.
Young male staff was also upfront and professional as he explained that a main dish and plain rice had to be ordered to dine at the restaurant for the second person even if I wanted to order hotpot menu1 (which we did not order). So, there is no ambiguity in the minimum spent at the restaurant.
One simple test was to order bubble tea which could be a potential for cutting corners. I ordered Brown Sugar Bubble Tea with less sugar to ensure it was healthy. Despite this order, drink was not bland and still tastes nice. I can only deduce the drink was a concoction of quality tea, milk and brown sugar, ensuring ingredients and proportion was just right. You can say for 7.50 CHF, it is a no-frills drink ie no fancy cup or brand but a drink focused on its taste.
In conclusion, I enjoyed the meal and the food and service experience...
Read moreHave been eating to this restaurant ever since we started living here in Zurich. As an Asian family we always go here.
But today, we got the rudest interactions from the staffs. First my grandma asked for a water and waiter rudely asks where she sits asking as if she is not a customer and just asking for water randomly as a passerby.
After paying and everything we went out and putting one child in the stroller fastening the seatbelt which is in front of the entrance, while my grandma zipping her winter coat while walking out of the door. We got 2 toddler and 1 baby with us. The MANAGER SUDDENLY comes out and shouting to us that we dont block the entrance as the door automatically opens and the air is going inside. My gosh it’s not even a minute that im buckling up my toddler to the buggy and my grandma just literally exited the door. There is even a RED CURTAIN to block the air from the entrance after the automatic door. But the manager’s attitude shouting at us like that is unacceptable.
So starting from now on we will just be happily eating in KONSHI RESTAURANT. Which the staffs, and food are great. SO MUCH BETTER ambiance too unlike in this restaurant there is no room to move very small and when there’s a lot of people the food takes long to come. Serving one dish then other dish will come when you almost...
