TWATUTIA Coffee & Co. — Restaurant in Datong District

I am here for a morning coffee so i got the whole coffee shop to myself. The space is lovely, i love the old industrial look and the high ceiling. It’s definitely a nice place to chill if it’s not packed with people so good luck with that!

I order an espresso using their house blend mix beans - six flags, it’s toward the nutty and caramel note. I think the shot can be smoother as there is a slight astringency on my throat.

There is a shop on the second floor which sell household items and all sort of stuff which is quite nice. I got myself a tote bag!

Anyway, i think it’s worth a visit if...

🥥 Coconut Latte (椰香拿鐵) : 180 NT$ 🥥 I love coconut water, milk, and meat. But I have never tried coconut latte before, and I think I didn't see it on any of the café menus I've been to. So, as soon as my four eyes 👀 caught sight of it, I decided to order it and see how it tastes. I ordered it without sugar since I'm currently dieting LOL. As for the taste, it was different from a normal latte. You can smell the strong aroma of coconut + coffee. Obviously, it tastes like coconut, but you'll also notice a slightly oily texture when you take a sip. Though it was different, I liked the taste. It's a perfect option for lactose-intolerant people and also for VEGANs. 🌱

Vibe: This is about the day my friend and I went for that stupid ride in Keelung LOL. Since one of our common friends was returning back to the USA, we planned to have a gathering. We looked for the café and found this with available seats. It was my first time here. It's located near the busy market but inside the road, free from chaos, so I think it's a good place to relax from a busy schedule. The interior design is somewhat Rustic but feels cool. On the second floor, they have a gallery where you can find household things to buy ranging from kitchen to gardening. If you are nearby, you can go and try by yourself. 😉

How about combining delicious coffee with traditional Taiwanese sweets? All go well with coffee. The owner has incorporated traditional sweets into the shop to match the surrounding streets. It’s so lovely. The first floor has table seating, while the second floor has a miscellaneous goods store and counter space by the window.
