This old traditional Market in the old center of this city is still a fabulous place to go for some local specialties like the pork belly on rice, radish cakes, or like this place, noodles and wontons and side dishes that are delicious and cheap and always very busy. The boss and the people working here are always friendly, the noodles are QQ, the wontons are tender, and I always get a side dish of mushrooms and seaweed for nutritional balance. 👏🫰👏

I was wandering in Taichung second market when i found this shop packed with customers and almost every customer was having a bowl of dry noodles. It turned out that many celebrities has been here, including my favourite actor Jimmy Lin. I ordered for take away but I believe that the dry noodles with minced pork sauce would taste much better eating in site. Wonton soup is good with light and hearty clear broth, thin and silky wonton skin.

Local space, but during my visit, most people visiting there are tourist, was told by my tour guide that he often receive request by tourist to bring them here, food is decent and the portion is good too, we ordered a lot and didn’t finish the food. Enjoyed the noodle and love the pork ribs, but it was mainly bones and coating, not much meat. Space of the dining area is small but the traffic flow is quick so waiting...
