Had dessert here with my partner. He had the mango shaved ice dessert, and I had a Chinese red bean sweet soup. Both orders were delicious and perfectly done. The mango dessert was refreshing and made with frozen mango that the lady said they grow themselves. It's not mango season so I understand that the mango wasn't fresh mango. The mango pieces were fleshy and sweet. And the addition of the green mangos added a perfect note of tangy sourness to the sweetness. The lady came out as we were eating and added more mango juice to the icy dessert too. Delicious. I preferred my red bean soup though. The Aunty that runs this place told us that all the fruit is homegrown and the almond milk pudding is handmade. I don't know enough to doubt this, but it was probably the best mango dessert I had in Taiwan out of a 16 day trip.
Not only was the shaved ice absolutely peak, she came over to pour some of her mango puree/juice onto the dessert halfway through. She even cut open the shaved ice with a spoon and poured some inside. I've never seen a dessert get injected with mango. First time for everything I guess. She did this twice.

Read moreEXCELLENT. Nuff said. NTD$135. Perfection. She came and gave us some extra mango juice. All mango is grown by them!! Freshly cut. This the very beginning of the season for mango, and Taiwanese mango are large and delicious. The green mango was especially delicious. We loved the service and food so much that we bought some dried mango for NT$200.
(By the way, the almond cheese appears to be almond pudding. Still delicious, but not a novelty, per se haha).
