MexCafe 老墨酒吧 Mexican restaurant & bar ｜墨西哥餐廳 — Restaurant in Tainan

IG: foodie_foxx Friendly Mexican bar, in the middle of Haian road owned by the famous women of Taiwan (Pat Chang 😆). An authentic, tradional set up with Mexican classic Cuisine served with almost the same taste from Mexico 🇲🇽. A restro bar which opens at 6.00 Pm for dinner with freshly made food 😋 and instant cocktails. Not a fancy restaurant, but a very healthy and home style cooking served by friendly servers. When we are there, it always feels like a family get-together 👪.

The owner will always do the rounds and welcome the guests with so much warm gestures and funny jokes. The place has an awesome vibe with nice Mexican music and Sombrero hats...

Recommended dishes

Steak salad 🥗- healthy veggies with tossed beef pieces, beef being grilled medium rare and the sauce is well mixed with the salad, not 2 wet and not soggy, the veggies are so fresh and crispy. Quesdilla - white flour flat bread with stuffed meat, cheesy and creamy inside with the stuffing being so soft and delicious Bean dip - my gal friend's yummy dish that she wanted to have. I haven't eaten the real Mexican style bean dip, but in India we do have a bean curry and it tastes very similar. Mexican pizza - very thin crust, made from the tortilla flour, very crunchy, crispy and with perfectly spread toppings on the whole pizza. Beef tacos - the best, economical, affordable and the poor man's treat... Fajita - stripped naked meat, with stripped peppers and long onions with awesome Mexican spices and grilled perfectly, the onions were perfectly caramelized and it was both tender and crunchy.

Recommended drinks Fish bowl - the best party cocktail, made with rum, ya pappi (tequila), Corona beer and lemon. Gals spoiler alert u might get tipsy after this hard-core dude. He is really naughty lol 😆 Long Island- the classical drinks of all time, a manly drink which gives a sour treat to the taste buds. I like the way they serve it as its pure alcoholi inside, no water or soda... Pink gin - the owner had this special gin, she treats her favorites and regular customers with this.. she has never told the secret where she gets it hehe 😜.

They Also serve, taiwan draft beers for 110$, pitcher for around 400 bucks and a couple of other options of beer. Their tequila shots are only 100$ with lemon and salt. On the whole it's a full on package for ur starving bellies and liquor sucking livers to have fun and end the night.

Highly Recommended Mexican Food in Tainan

My family and I recently had dinner at Mexcafe and it was an amazing experience. The restaurant is located in a great location in Tainan and has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs, making us feel right at home.

Now, let's talk about the food. Mexcafe serves some of the best Mexican food I've ever tasted. The menu is extensive and offers a wide range of options for both vegetarians and meat-lovers. We tried the tacos, nachos, and quesadillas, and each dish was packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. The portions are generous, so make sure to come hungry!

To accompany the food, we also tried some of their delicious cocktails. The Margarita was perfectly balanced and refreshing, and the horchata was a sweet and creamy treat. My personal favorite was the Cuba libre, which had just the right amount of rum and Coke. They also have a variety of shots available, perfect for a night out with friends.

Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. Overall, I highly recommend Mexcafe to anyone who loves Mexican food or is looking for a great restaurant to try in Tainan. The food, atmosphere, and service are top-notch, making it a must-visit spot. We will definitely be...

Good menu selection (has vegetarian options too), delicious food, nice atmosphere, waitresses speak pretty good English, there's English on their menu, accepts reservation, accommodating, one of the better bars in regards to alcohol choices, good atmosphere and song choices are some of the many merits from Funkoo Bar.

A group of 16 of us were celebrating our colleague's birthday when we visited Funkoo Bar. We went on Funkoo's Facebook page to make a reservation 4 hours prior to our arrival, and they reserved the indoor section of the bar for us. The waitress was very accommodating with us in regards to taking orders from 16 people all at once, and even taking the dietary restrictions of a few of us (I.e no onions, vegan, vegetarian), but she was patient and understanding.

I got one of each variety of their taco; fish, shrimp, pork, chicken, beef, pork belly. Be warned, these things have a little kick to them, but they are really delicious (the chicken was pretty standard, that's the lowest one on my list). If you love fatty pork belly, you've got to try this taco! The beer battered fish and shrimp tacos were pretty good too (though the shrimp was a little salty).

Overall, this bar's pretty sweet, served pretty good Mexican food and alcohol. Would definitely...
