本願豆花店-西門町 中華店 Origin Tofu Pudding — Restaurant in Wanhua District

We were curious about Origin Tofu Pudding and queued the night before, but unfortunately it's sold out when we got to the front line.

So the next day we queued again and we got the chance to try it.

The tofu pudding was soft, complemented with the taro balls, red bean & the hot soup.

But i think the taste was a bit bland; the soup and the taro balls. I was expecting strong flavored (gingery) soup and sweet taro balls. So i was a bit dissapointed. The tofu pudding had strong tofu smell which i didn't quite like.

Probably i expected too much because we queued for quite some time and it's not our first try as well.

A very vintage style soybean pudding dessert spot. You get to pick two toppings and all you gotta do is place the corresponding chopsticks in the box and they’ll make your order. I love it! Traditional soyabean curd with a variety of toppings. I especially like the grass jelly with soyabean curd with taro balls, barley & red/ green beans.
