Unless you speak Taiwanese or Mandarin Chinese, don't come here. None of the staff speaks English and they will not give two %$^# about serving you. I asked for an English menu and got one with pictures - cool, we're off to a good start, I thought. It's just not that simple, at least not here. I ended up nodding to everything the lady was saying as perhaps "add-ons" to the one dish I chose. No problem, I'll take a drink and a bowl of soup with the beef dish. Next comes the worst part of this whole experience. I waited and waited for my drink and meal. It never came, instead the lady brought my check to me and threw it down on the table! I am not exaggerating, she threw the check on my table! I didn't even get my drink and I'm staring at a check that said the meal I haven't eaten yet costs $320 ntd ($10 usd) which seemed rather high for Taipei. I then walked up to the front counter and tried my best to communicate somehow I have not received the food yet. They got the point and I got my meal a few minutes later. Rudeness and lack of customer service aside, the food was okay, definitely not worth $320 ntd. The sauce tasted good but the beef was not tender and too chewy. Places like these reminds foreigners to take our money to where it's appreciated like the...

I visited this Hong Kong–style restaurant yesterday and was quite disappointed. The food quality and taste were far below what I’ve experienced at other Hong Kong restaurants. The fried dishes tasted like they were made with old oil, and the 豬腸粉 didn’t even contain any meat at all. Overall, the flavors were not authentic.
For the quality, the prices are absolutely inadequate. You can easily get much better-tasting local Taiwanese food for half the price. On top of that, they add a 10% service charge — something I can understand and respect at places like Din Tai Fung, but for this restaurant it feels completely unacceptable.
With so many better options around, I certainly won’t be coming back.
Their are no prices indicated outside which adds to the general feeling of "It's not a good idea...
Read moreFound this restaurant to be way overpriced, the service felt antagonistic and we had a terrible experience. Definitely won’t be back to this place! When I asked for a beer it was served with a bowl not glass or mug…so I requested a glass and was told that this is Taiwan and we drink from a bowl. I said that’s fine, ok, but I would like a glass to drink my beer. The server basically started a mini fight just because I requested a glass for my beer…omg. After they served me the only beer on offer, a second server pointed at the bowl and said we drink it in a bowl here, like I was an idiot. Very strange interaction, not to mention the beer was way overpriced. We ate, we left, and will definitely not be coming back. Stay away...
