豆腐村 Tofu Village - 三創生活園區店 — Restaurant in Zhongzheng District

Good Korean food at reasonable prices, this is part of a chain of korean restaurants in Taiwan. Their signature dish is the tofu casserole, which can be ordered with a variety of meats or vegetarian. They also have Bulgogi and rice cakes. If you don't like the lettuce that comes with the Bolgogi you can ask for rice. The entree price includes all you can eat side dishes, tea and coffee which you serve yourself. The coffee was actually surprisingly good. For desert they have free all you can eat tofu ice cream, which you serve yourself. This is actually pretty good and addictive. It's like soft serve ice cream made with soy milk, not very sweet and a bit icy. There is also bibbimbop in a stone bowl, but only for takeout. If you decide to sit in the restaurant you are stuck with the regular menu. They limit you to 90 minutes which is ample time to finish your meal and have a leisurely coffee. The staff is very impolite. They blocked our entree to say if you eat bibimbab you have to eat at outside. What do you want to eat? There are minimum value to eat inside. I said bulgogui becaus e my daughter want to. Then she said All of you have to eat. When we seat at the table she said you have 90 minutes to eat and then we will pack your food! There are many ways to say it politely. Just put in a few magic words like please, I'm sorry, .... After the last arrogance of the lady at the table , we took our bags, stand up and leave this place. We would eat bulgogui, and 2 soup. The price around 400NT per dish, it is too much to eat in this kind of rude place. I would never pay 1NT in that kind of place. It seems like the owner is a arrogant and uneducated person or doesn't know how to train his employees.

I ordered their “Buglgogi (Pork)” and was very disappointed. The taste was so-so & the lettuce wrap as a rice replacement ill thought out.

Here are the problems I found with this place & dish(es), hence the 2-star review: Replacing rice with lettuce wraps (without options) was a very bad idea. Dishes with watery-sauces will just leak out through the lettuce leaving a mess. They should have made the sauce “thicker” at least to compensate. The lettuce wraps were ripped & damaged, leading to even more of a mess than necessary when liquid-soaked foods are placed inside. This can’t be eaten properly with utensils in the small bowl provided. Utensils were dirty.
