This restaurant has a strong Japanese vibe, both in decor and atmosphere, and it’s clearly popular in the area. I was lucky to walk in without a wait, but saw a line forming outside as I left—so it does get busy.
The ordering system is a bit unusual. You scan a QR code to place your order, then head to a self-service cash-only machine to pay before returning to your seat to wait for the food. The process is efficient, and food comes out quickly, but I did notice some elderly customers struggling—the text on the website is small, and the steps can be a bit confusing.
I ordered the uni & snow crab rice box, and it was absolutely delightful. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and tasted great. I can easily see why this place is loved by locals.
The only thing that bothered me was the 10% service charge. Since everything is self-service, it feels odd to be automatically charged for service that, frankly, you provide yourself. The food is already affordable—they could’ve just slightly raised the menu prices instead. It’s a small thing, but still a bit weird.
Overall though, a solid experience and definitely worth a visit...
Read moreCame for lunch at this Japanese place. They offer a free ice cream if you leave a 5-star review… the high Google rating is misleading.
Quick breakdown: • Food: 3/5 — average. I ordered the grilled salmon (450 NTD + 10% service) and it tasted alright. Portion was really small for the price. Other items were more fairly priced. Value: 2/5 — overpriced for the quality and portion sizes. Some meals had better portions, mine was half of what I expected. Service: 4/5 — waitress was incredible: very friendly and attentive, happy to receive our feedback. However, self order system was very confusing and problematic. Facility: 3/5 — decent atmosphere, but some furniture felt unsecured and the seats were uncomfortable. Toilets were dirty. Note that the biggest table they have seats a maximum of 6 people.
Overall: 3/5 — not something I’d personally recommend. It’s an average experience. If you want great Japanese food and better value, I’d look elsewhere. The staff were lovely, though, so it’s not a bad spot if service matters...
Read moreCame here during lunch on a Thursday. Had my hopes up due to great reviews, but had a disappointing experience overall due to below reasons: General cleanliness was subpar. The saucers and soy sauce dispenser on our tabletop were covered in dust. Inventory, food trimmings, cleaning utilities were laid in plain view where customers are close in proximity or were improperly stored. Inventory delivery was done during noon when customers were dining. The walkway is narrow, and having the customers and deliverymen share the narrow walkway simultaneously is not ideal, as it also affects the customers who are sitting in their booths. There is a 10% cleaning fee, which frankly was not warranted. The servers wear the same gloves to move/sort inventory, handle cash, and serve food, which is not hygienic.
Despite the above, the food was served promptly and was decent and the...
