I ordered a Tonkatsu meal set (Pork fillet cutlets) and paid an extra $39 (a la carte $49) for a black sugar milk tea.
The black sugar milk tea was sweet and extraordinary. The delectable fried coating on the cutlets here was the best of the best without any doubt. The quality and great crunchiness it had were much more superior to 99% of the Tonkatsu eateries. The pork fillets were plump and juicy. In addition, the Tonkatsu sauce here was nicely made and authentic. The white rice was also chewy and of great quality. There were a lot of radishes, carrots, and few pork slices in the miso soup and it tasted alright since I don’t like radishes.
In conclusion, the meal was economical and both the service and the food were excellent. Overall it’s absolutely a 10 out of 10 if not to mention the miso soup.
FYI, you get the chopsticks, spoon, and the cup for water on the table near the front door. Besides, you place your order via scanning...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Katsuya Hoyii @Taipei Station recently, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant’s ambiance is welcoming, and the service was top-notch from the moment we were seated.
We ordered the 全席相撲丼 and 吉胜猪排丼 , and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and the ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked. The crispy fried items on top of the rice were flavorful, with a satisfying crunch that made every bite enjoyable. The presentation of the food was also impressive, as shown in the attached photo.
The total cost for our meal was very reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. The restaurant takes great care in preparing each dish, and it truly shows. I highly recommend Katsuya Hoyii @Taipei Station to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. I will definitely...
Read moreThe restaurant seems to be understaffed because we had to wait outside for a while before finally could gain entry into the restaurant. However, it's worth it. The tonkatsu is affordable at only around NTD $200, the portion given is also very big. The tonkatsu is coated on the outside with a large number of breadcrumbs making it exceptionally crispy. The meat inside is also very tender and juicy, with just the right amount of fat so that you will not feel sick of it. The ebi is also very tasty. The icing on the cake is that there is a free flow supply of tea on every table, with a jug filled with the tea. Overall, it's a good experience although I would not recommend going here during lunch hour (i've seen customers getting turned away because there were not enough seats)....
