We have stayed at Upendo house for the last 5 days room 103. We have had the best time here in stone down, perfect location, incredible staff, the best food in Zanzibar but we have been very well looked after whole time. The restaurant has a nice rooftop setting with a beautiful view of the ocean, as it’s located on top of a hotel. However, I found it to be a bit overpriced for what it offers. The food took quite a while to arrive and was already cold when served, and the portion sizes were quite small. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and welcoming.
