The Firefly is a beautiful and unique hotel created from the restoration of an older building. It is situated in the heart of the historic Stone Town. The place is like staying in an art gallery with many beautiful pieces of wall art. |You can stay here and do a walking tour around Stone Town within half a day. |The place is brand new and clean as can be. The staff are welcoming and helpful and the eggs at breakfast were cooked to perfection! |The views from the rooftop restaurant were varied and a great introduction to Stone Town. Just take extra care climbing the spiral staircase as it’s quite steep - it was a blessing in a way as it forced me to slow down and enjoy the ambience.|We stayed in a king suite which was HUGE. It was clean and comfortable. |The only negative was the bathroom/toilet is only separated by a drape from the bedroom. What an incredible place! 100% recommend. Right in the heart of Stonetown and close to the beach, the location is perfect. The rooftop views are unreal. 360 views of Stone town, and lots of places to lounge upstairs so you can watch a different view each day. There is a gorgeous swimming pool in a courtyard with plants growing up the walls, couches, swinging chairs and places to sit and relax all over, and you can pick a new spot to discover every single day. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing experience at Firefly Hotel in both Bagamoyo and Zanzibar. We were a group of cyclists from the UK the Blackstone Charity Group and we were warmly welcomed with great hospitality and respect throughout our stay.

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and the atmosphere was perfect for relaxing after our long rides. Everything from the service to the setting was spot on.
