Lemon Iced Tea: Refreshing but might be a little on the sweet side. Iced Green Tea: Flavorful green tea ending with a characteristic bitter aroma Miso soup: Delicious miso soup comes free with certain dishes (check the menu) Ribeye Steak with egg yolk rice bowl: Very umami tasting dish, ribeye cooked medium rare, sliced on top of rice bowl. Comes with free miso soup. Highly recommended. Salmon Akami Hamachi Don: Fish were very tender and aromatic, loved it. Comes with free miso soup. Recommended. Salmon Crunchy Cheese Roll: Disappointing. Flavors are indistinguishable and rolls are stuffed with everything. Cheese melts and sticks the rolls together which makes it hard to eat. Did not suit my taste. Wagyu Nigiri: Ordered a pair and enjoyed it very much, slices were medium cooked. Ordered 4 more this time they were well done cooked (we did not specify before ordering) and although tasty the medium rare ones were much better. Highly recommended. Overall good atmosphere and delicious food, service was great as well.

if you desire a 5 star experience, go at the correct time. If you go on friday afternoon, when the fish is delivered fresh, this may be the best sushi restaurant in Bangkok. Go any other time or week day, and you may be very disappointed. When you choose to order sushi anywhere, it is imperative to always ask the sushi chef what fish was delivered TODAY, and make that your fish for any sushi you order. Staff members are kind, patient and well intended, yet remarkably unknowledgable . It is the fault of the owner for not educating the staff and for not installing one single team member who speaks english and has tasted the food and sake.

I think they tried closing earlier than posted on their door so when we came in they weren't so welcoming... Tried telling us: "were out of rice..." But ultimately they let us come in and served rice nonetheless. Despite the hiccups upon greeting the food was really good, the rolls are on the small side- try the Tappenyaki. Delicious🙌 Service improved as the meal went onward with with kindness. Prices may be a tad on the exspensive side but worth coming. I would have given a higher rating if they had honored the store closing hours. I reccomend it, eat here! (Please leave a like if this review helped you in any way)

This is a wonderful restaurant in the Banglumphu area of Bangkok near the Fort Phra Sumen. The service here is good, people welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant and easy on the eyes. The menu is varied and I have yet to receive a dish there that was not presented with care and a touch of class. As with most Japanese places I do find the prices a bit high for the area. You can certainly eat a great deal cheaper just across the street where a pad thai will cost you 50 baht. So realize when you enter that this is not presented as inexpensive Bangkok street food. There is a menu outside that you can check before entering. That being said the prices at Kaneki are comparable to prices at other Japanese restaurants in the area.

The quality of the food here is very good. The dishes well prepared, the seafood fresh by...
