TMD : Todd Meat D — Restaurant in Chana Songkhram Subdistrict

Came here late, not really knowing what I was in for. We were hungry and had been at the airport for hours, so when we got to TMD - we were starving! We totally overlooked the suggestion to book in advance, but fortunately there was a table free (perhaps we arrived right at closing?). The owners were so sweet and ignored my hangry attitude. Oh yeah, bring cash (about 1k/person+).

This is a high quality steak house, they know what they're doing. We got the Australian plate for 2, which includes a delicious mushroom soup and a large salad with a really delicious creamy dressing that has a bite to it - like horseradish or really fresh garlic.

The meat was excellent, they were out of our first choice (go early if you're picky!). We ended up with a strip, it was 2 very healthy portions and included roasted garlic, finely crushed salt, potatoes, and a little more salad. Ordered medium, the meat was perfect. Just a tiny bit red in the center, a soft pink to the outer layer with just the right amount of browning - almost a hint of char at the edges, but without actually burning the ends.

So where's the photos? Sorry folks, it was too good for foodie shots. The lost star for atmosphere can't be helped, it's a tiny boutique steak house smashed into the corner of a building, there'd be no way for them to fit fancy decorative pillows or install sconces. Focus on the meat and you won't care about...

We came as a group of four to enjoy some serious steaks: ribeye, sirloin, and even A5 Wagyu and every single cut was outstanding. The prices were more than fair for the quality you get, and the hospitality truly made the evening. The owners, a lovely couple, guided us through the selection with genuine warmth and professionalism. They made sure each steak was cooked exactly to our preference, and their kindness made us feel right at home. The place itself is small and cozy, with a family-run charm that’s rare to find. There’s even a friendly gray striped cat they brought in for guests to pet, a sweet touch that adds to the welcoming vibe. The food, the service, and the atmosphere all came together for a perfect dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great meat and genuine hospitality.
