Food is average compared to Orange County, California sushi. No root or leaf wasabi, just the fake stuff that they claim has a percentage of real wasabi. Total for two 6600 Thai baht, which was I guess okay, but still a little high priced for what we got. They do have mosquitos buzzing about, and they ate me alive, leaving two large blood spots on my right leg. They rushed to provide me mosquito spray. Do I recommend? No, but only because I expect real wasabi from my sushi restaurants. But, I should say, this restaurant is better than Uchi Japanese. So, of the two sushi restaurants we tried, this is the best of the two, and maybe in Chiang Mai, this is great, as I see a 4.9 google rating, but in Orange County, California, no one would come here because you can find so much better. The two friends that came with me were also very happy about the food.
The chef is Thai but has worked with Japanese sushi chefs in NYC and Miami.. he definitely adopted the discipline of Japanese sushi chefs. I was pleasantly surprised (and impressed) when he insisted I eat the saba nigiri the way he prepared it with no extra dipping in soy sauce.
The only improvement I could think of was the hot sake. It was served lukewarm. It’d be great if they could find a way to keep the sake...

Me and my boyfriend got omakase here for dinner. We have had omakase in Toronto and Montreal and this was by far our fav. The price is super reasonable $2500 THB per person ($100 CAD) — there’s no reason you should skip the omakase.
Ok so the experience is super intimate & personal. The seafood is flown in right from Japan and each bite took me on a flavour adventure. The chef is extremely skilled and knows his flavour combinations very well. One of the many highlights was the homemade desert by the owners brother which was hokkaido cheesecake. This is one of my favourite dinning experiences to date.
If you are in Chiang mai do...
