Matsu Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

I looked at the menu at the entrance of the restaurant. The waitress waited in the background without urging me to enter. When I decided to enter, she immediately came over and led me to a table. I found this behaviour pleasant. I ordered one Akami Uke Don and one Salmon Don. Both came with a miso soup. The toppings on the rice were rich and the quality was very good. The sushi rice was also good. Together with a Coke, I paid 485 Bath. The service was quick and attentive, the food came quickly. The price-performance ratio was very good. I paid double for much less fish in Chiang Mai a few days ago. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Second visit a day later. This time we had yasai tempura and sanma teri yaki. The tempura was crispy, not a bit greasy and the various vegetables crunchy. Recommendable. The mackerel was also delicious, but a bit small. Again, good...

We looked through the menu outside and the lady waited until she thought we were ready. She then invited us inside, seated us and gave our menu. Once we decided what we wanted we filled out our order and the table and gave to them. We only ordered Tum Yum which was a bone broth noodle soup. I wasn't expecting a big bowl but it was good sized. The owner and staff are shockingly rude, and the service is terrible (they appear to be a family, so they are not bothered about being fired).

The owner and staff ridicule you when you ask for a small service that you need as a customer. What sort of restaurant is this? I'm surprised by the rating here (just like other reviews mentioned) because they do not deserve it.
