Pro’s : location good not far from the centre of old town a few restaurants a few massage places as well in walking distance. Room was nice with a balcony lovely bathroom had a shower and bath separate. Bed was very soft and comfy. Has a lift all toiletries provided. Has a restaurant and bar attached didn’t utilise this as cheaper a short walk down the road . 7 11 about 300m down the road. ||Cons: No trolley’s or help to get your luggage to your room paths very bumpy . Check in staff very limited to little English had to use google translate all the time we have travelled many many times to Thailand but found this quite difficult as my Thai very limited. Wasn’t told where anything was in the hotel but managed to find things. |Quilt cover had holes in it when we arrived it was changed another day had another with holes as well I want very pleased with this as it’s right on the front they couldn’t miss it . Towels need to be bleached or thrown they’re more grey than white . The breakfast looked ok few cereal toast hot dish but everything was Cold as the Bain-Marie’s aren’t plugged in also the tea wasn’t turned on either thought it might have been as we got there at 9 closes at 10 but another morning even at 8 was cold got told eggs been there since 6.30am they don’t seem to plug anything in too keep food warm let alone hot . Tables were never cleaned when you arrived was hard to find somewhere to sit . |Pool was small but nice but BIG drawback it’s in a separate area and up 4 flights of stairs Not good for people with back or knee problems not stated anywhere on website . The gym is higher up again. |There is a Cannabis cafe attached to the hotel doesn’t bother us but some it might just worth mentioning it’s right by the carpark. |We were there 5 nights wouldn’t go back lucky we had a better deal on their website but have stayed at much nicer and cheaper in the past just like to try different places all the time. Definitely a let down was the last stop...

We booked this hotel through Agoda, the pictures were of different rooms, the 1st of many problems. Booked a family suite for 5 nights and got a dorm style room, spoke to reception and they could put us in another room for 1st night but not 2nd night as they were booked out. We stayed in the dorm room for 2 nights on the 2nd floor and there's no elevator in the dorm room building, the basin tap in the bathroom shot off when we turned the water on, the toilets are tiny, can't close the door while sitting on the toilet, the drains in the showers were blocked so the shower floor filled up, all 3 bottles in the shower said conditioner even though they each had a different product in them and there was a nail sticking out of the floor in the hallway area. On the 3rd night they put us in 2 rooms as there was 5 of us and family room only sleeps 4. Came back from the night markets, tried to have a shower and there was no hot water, informed by reception that they turn the water off at night, wtf. Aircon failed in one of the rooms, sheets were to small for the beds, shower door was about to fall off, at least twice the room keys wouldn't work and needed recoded. The worst hotel breakfast we've had, very little to choose from, most of the hot food was cold, there was no bacon, only small amounts of each dish put out at a time so when you went to get something there was none left, requested some eggs for my toast they came straight from the kitchen to my table half cooked and cold. On the plus side the reception staff were very friendly and helped as much as they could but we won't be...

Lovely hotel however room for improvement. Room was comfy however the curtain ties were broken off the walls, there were a lot of ants on the dressing table which were coming in from somewhere we couldn’t locate and the bathroom could have done with a severe deep clean. The shower head was also broken off the stand and the fixing that was supposed to be holding it in place was just left on the shelf with no attempt to fix it. Also, beware when leaning on the balcony rail as ours was extremely loose and I have no doubt it would have snapped off had more weight been put on it. The breakfast selection was also poor and the pool so cold and dirty it was off putting. Another annoyance was the fact the bar, hotel, massage and coffee shop were all separate and so different payment methods were required for each - resulting in an unplanned last minute run to 7 Eleven for cash from the ATM as we were checking out as we had a remaining bill which they could only accepted cash for. What made up for the issues was the location, the friendly and helpful staff members (especially the bar tender of the bar out front who recommended and made gorgeous cocktails!) and the comfy bed with a lovely view over the pool. |If you are looking for comfort and the convenience of a great location, I would recommend. It would be so great if given a little TLC and cleanliness...

Can’t figure out how this hotel might get more than even two stars, and i find them somewhat positively biased. Maybe it is, because they offer you free drinks for positive reviews? Our “traditional” room was only superficially clean when we arrived, which hasn’t changed since. It very much looks like the staff just doesn’t care. The bed lines were stained and dirty, and at first there was no intention on changing them. Our bathroom door is in such a bad shape, that it almost breaks off the sliding hinges when opening and closing. The floor is really slippery and as you have to step over the mattress on the floor to get into the bathroom, that is some adventure. But the worst is just that even areas in plain sight are not properly cleaned, housekeeping forgets towels sometimes and there is very plainly no interest in doing it properly. Also, if you’re easily disturbed by noises: you will hear everything even two rooms down. The pool is green by algue. The gym is quite dirty, my former white exercise shoes are black just by what rubbed off. Equipment works but is also quite run down. Also, no way to clean equipment after use. There is one thing that runs for the hotel, and that is the location. So best find one of the nice ones for the same price around.

The Lanna was truly our home away from home for 1 week. Located in the NW area of the Old City with easy access within or just a short walk to go outside. The room felt like home with probably the most comfortable king bed I have ever slept on. A nice sized room with a great bathroom. There is plenty of HOT water and my only issue was using the hot and cold water handles to get it just right. A big plus is a nice sized balcony with space for a table and 2 chairs, great for relaxing with a cup of coffee and I had to choose a balcony room when booking. Room includes 2 water per day along with coffee and tea with hotpot. Staff is incredible and helpful and helped arrange a laundry pickup and delivery. Not the cheapest option but the most convenient for sure. The bar/restaurant has great food at a reasonable price and a billiard table. Walking distance to many great restaurants and the most incredible croissant place you can imagine. If ever we come back to Chiang Mai Lanna is the only place I'd choose. Almost forgot the swimming pool is a blast, about 4' deep with cozy bean bag loungers and a swim up bar for your refreshments😋.

I recently stayed here with my family for 4 nights. We selected a family room which had a double bed and 2 singles and the room was decorated lovely, I especially liked the bathroom. Having said this the room was facing directly to the street and the noise level was very very high, especially since the small windows where not properly sealed you could hear everything. The room could also do with a little updating as there was speaking paint on the ceiling, maybe water damage. The hotel pool is tiny, the pictures are taken from angles that appear bigger but it is very small and very cold. The WiFi is awful, not password protected so I assume all the neighbours use it. The room was only cleaned once whilst we where there, the cleaners did attend at 3.30pm on one other day but since we where in the room back from our activities they immediately left. Overall i probably wouldn’t recommend a stay here but others may enjoy what I did not.
