PerSimmon Café — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

I went for a walk around the Chang Mai Old Town Walls and saw beautiful old temple. The canal and flowers and the temple was so beautiful however it was so hot and I was looking for a place to cool down and have some water as I was feeling bad from the heat. So just by luck I’ve entered this small coffee shop and got some water and a coffee. The place itself is tiny but so cozy, with nice decor and music. The girl barista was friendly and the main character there was a huge cat laying down on one of the guests tables and not caring much. He is the boss there and they have his portraits and even cards with him. So cool! Coffee was nice and they do have selection of coffee beans and recommendations...

Delightfully comfortable and eclectic. We stumbled upon this small cafe, whose entrance is slightly hidden by the ferns and cactus plants. The redbrick painted accents gives it an American southwest feel and is accompanied by the music of John Denver, bit of Whitney, and a mix of 50’s tunes. I sense the owner likes Elvis. He has vinyls in the corner, and I was keen to know where the record player was. There’s a TV playing 80’s music videos, which are fun to watch.

This cafe is so cute. I went on a Saturday morning, it was cosy with jazz music playing. I had a Thai coffee and veggie toast which was like a delicious little pizza sandwich with a home made tomato sauce and lots of cheese. The coffee was good. The food took a while to come because the lady is making it fresh and also serving the coffee, it was a shame I was in a rush because I would have liked to stay longer and relax here. It was worth the wait. I will come back here...
