Kwankhao Juice & Smoothie Chiang Mai — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

I’ve traveled all over the world (and Thailand), and this is hands down the best smoothie I’ve ever had — no matter what price point.

I happened upon this shop while looking for a smoothie spot en route between old city and Nimman, expecting the “typical” smoothie you can find all over Chiang Mai.

This was different. WAY different.

The owner runs the shop herself and all of her smoothies are full of thoughtfulness you can really taste. She uses only real fruit and less ice, making for a richer flavor profile.

I get the mango yogurt smoothie with no sugar and highly recommend it!

(Whenever I ask for ‘no sugar’ in Thailand, it’s about a 50/50 chance whether it will actually be too sweet because they add it anyway or use subpar yogurt that is full of artificial sweetener. This wasn’t the case here. It was obvious any sweetness was from real fruit.)

I’ve never been compelled to write a review for any restaurant or shop before but the kindness and warm energy of the shop owner and her creations put it over the top.

There are times when Google maps seems to over rate places. But, not on this occasion. This little unpretentious smoothee shop, offers authentic pure fruit juices and smoothees. I had the Mango passionfruit smoothee, with the no sugar option. As it's made with just fruit, it tasted just like these two fruits. For me, it was a bit tart due to the amount of real passionfruit used, and so next time I might accept the honey or sugar option that was offered. It also had fresh Mango prices added to the smoothee. The lady (Lek) that runs it, as a one person small business, does her best to give excellent and friendly service. I recommend asking her for suggestions when ordering unless you know exactly what you like. Given the amount of fresh, not frozen, fruit that goes into the smoothee, this shop offers excellent value. This is an easily five-star smoothee shop. Well worth a visit., thank you....

The best smoothie in town! It has really perfect combination of fruits in different options, and they asking about sugar which is cool. Yogurt is perfect. The best taste in Thailand during my 2 months in the country.

BUT! I have to write it :( The place made my days worse more often than happier. Because it doesn’t work according to schedule in Google. I came to the place 5 times, 3 times it was closed. All 3 times I was planning the special taxi/walking movement to got there to drink their perfect smoothies, but it was all for nothing.
