P.P. Buffet — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

This place opens at 5 pm and closes at 2 am. To begin with, this is a combination of hot pot and grill. You can have either one or both. Your choice. I've been to other hot pot places before and even thought they served us the 2 different broths at the same time, their broth is quite subtle compared to others. The vegetables are fresh and have a nice variety. Seem a couple other meats that didn't see in any other place, so far, and there's plenty of it. Have a very, very, very small selection of sushi and the Wasabi was not as potent as in other places. The chicken and other meats were pretty good. Got 2 pieces of beef. The first one was small and was able to chew but was hard, the second one, since I didn't get a knife, tried to cut it with my teeth and it was not budging, decided to try to tear it by pulling with the chopsticks and my teeth... the result? It started to stretch to the point it slipped from the sticks and hit me with such a force the juices from the meat splattered on the top of my shirt 😳😫🤪🤣. Thank God most of it came off after going to the hotel and wash it Tried to chew the whole piece but was very hard and even harder to chew, to the point when I realized it was a battle that I wasn't going to win and respectfully place it in the trash plate. 😕 FYI. I'm not the type of person to just give up, but it was uneatable

Will never go back to this place. Most staff did not care of customers and the food looked not fresh. There was only watermelon in the fruit section. The price for two was 438 bhat. Saw the menu and price was 398 bhat for two (may not update from the google). It was not worthy to pay more than 400 bhat. It was Friday evening and there were not many people. Heat from the pot was not enough to cook the meat quickly. Ask the staff to change the heat pot to the strong heat but responded it would come up the heat, but not coming up the heat until we finished. It took very long time to fully cook the meat. The hot pottery soup pot was so small that we had hard time to put most of ingredient like vegetable and seafood, mushroom at the same time. It is more like one person hot pot (maybe even small for one person). My expectation of tasting local meat and seafood...

The buffet experience at PP Buffet was extremely poor, and I strongly do not recommend it! I arrived a bit early and asked if the restaurant was open. The owner told me it wasn’t with a really bad attitude, not even having the basic courtesy to let me sit and wait for a while, which made me very uncomfortable. Moreover, the hygiene in the restaurant was terrible—there were cockroaches and flies everywhere, which completely ruined my appetite.
