Advertise themselves as "fine dining" establishment. So let's get this out the way. Everybosy from the western world has an idea what fine dining is. Glasses to suit the drink, cutlery for various dishes, crockery of a high standard and staff who are dressed accordingly and are at your call. Level 9 fine dining offers a spoon and a fork for all dishes, nothing for fish, nothing for starters or salads, and the fork and spoon in a lovely plastic bag sited on tacky advertising paper place cards, with menus outdated with items crossed out a selection of 15 or so pizzas of which only 3 are actualy served service that is slow to none existent and prices to make you cry, for food that is street stall standard, and seat so cheap and tacky in plastic you will be glad to finish and leave, to let your backside and the back of your thighs dry off from sweating so much. The place puts on a great show and looks good but so much shows that is is just another wanna be top restaurant. The view of an evening/nightime if nice with seats on both sides open air. Daytime wise you'll enjoy looking onto the dirty stinky rooftops of every building within a 500 meter radius. Suffice to say, if you have no idea what fine dining is or just have low standards you feel the place is great. The rest of us I would advise to steer clear to save yourselves the hacked of Mood at being ripped off for something your were promised...
Read moreWe like this rooftop bar and restaurant in Chiang Mai. It is in easy walking distance from our home, and easily accessible. The wide views from the rooftop are great at night. During the day, you can see the surrounding mountains. They have a good menu and very reasonable drink prices. They have several vegetarian options, and the kitchen will make many things on the menu for you without meat if you ask. Service is sometimes pretty slow and inattentive, though, and much of the staff speak no English so getting your order correct can be challenging. (I believe that it is mostly a club for locals)
I gave it 3 stars for somewhat poor service after our first visit.
We returned here with friends on New Years Eve. It was difficult and confusing getting tickets for the event as they would not respond to my calls or texts, but I managed to get one of the last tables. I would give it less than 3 stars for their New Years Eve event… we paid 900 baht each for a buffet dinner, and it was disappointing. They just didn’t seem prepared with enough food or enough staff. They ran out of almost everything. Service was poor. We won’t return here again for any more...

It is a really trendy location. The rooftop is huge and everything is new and looks nice! First a DJ was entertaining and then a band was playing life music.
Prices are (of course) higher because you are higher up... ;-)
The bar was pretty empty when we were there. An unorganized bunch of employees provide a really bad service. If a group of 10 people sits on the table and they take the order only of 5 of them... we had to call them a second time to place the rest of the orders... and even then the waitress wanted to leave after one person's order. We had to tell her that there are more orders to take... and then it took them really long to serve the simple drinks... After a while a guy just stood next to the table with the bill and wanted us to pay. What if we wanted to have a...
