I’d like to recommend this charming Hong Kong-style cha chaan teng located near Nimman Road in Chiang Mai.
The restaurant is spacious, bright, and clean. The food is not only delicious but also hygienically prepared, and the staff are absolutely lovely and attentive. Besides serving authentic dishes, they also offer a variety of Hong Kong snacks for sale.
If you're not sure what to order, I highly recommend trying the Cantonese claypot rice. The moment the flame heats the claypot, the aroma of crispy rice crust fills the air—rich, smoky, and mouthwatering. It's a must-try! Also, their wonton noodles and tofu pudding are top-notch. The tofu pudding comes in both sweet and savory options—both are equally delicious and worthy of a five-star rating.
Ordering is easy and modern—just scan the QR code on your table and place your order via your phone.
There’s both indoor seating and an outdoor area where smoking is allowed. It’s convenient for motorbikes to park right in front of the shop. For cars, parking can be a bit challenging—street parking is limited, so you might need to find a spot nearby.
If you’re looking for a taste of Hong Kong in Chiang Mai, this is definitely a great spot...
Read moreI visited your restaurant twice recently. I had high expectations, especially considering my fondness for authentic Hong Kong cuisine from my previous visits to the city.
During my first visit, I ordered the scallion oil noodles, expecting them to be made with fresh egg noodles similar to those used in wonton noodles. To my surprise, they were served with instant noodles & the taste was average. The dumplings, on the other hand, were decent.
On my second visit, I tried the XO fried rice & BBQ pork. Unfortunately, the rice was served at room temperature, and had a texture that felt somewhat hard and lacked the freshness one would expect from a freshly prepared dish. No aromatic fragrance of fried rice in a wok. For the price that I paid.. it was not up to standard.
There is room for improvement in the quality of the food.
Additionally, it would enhance the overall dining experience if the staff were more knowledgeable about the dishes and better equipped to make recommendations because they had no idea what to...
Read moreI finally paid a visit to L's Kitchen's new location at Inbaan Space. I'm a longtime fan of their dumplings and wontons, so I'm happy to have them in my neighborhood, offering Hong Kong comfort food. The new space is modern and airy, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the service is impeccable and friendly. I had delicious HK style barbecue pork over rice, with a half boiled egg and greens. I drank a Sprite with preserved/salted lemon, plus I got to try their house made plum wine, which was a very pleasant treat on a hot day. Be sure to check out the shop that shares the space. They sell some of L's Kitchen's take home products (frozen dumplings & wontons, chili oil, garlic chili paste), some other local food items, and eco-friendly personal care and household products. Two...
