Shortcut: unsterile, unhygienic, very expensive, lack of experience in gel application and shaping.
I booked this salon after seeing a post highlighting their use of sterile-packed instruments—a standard in Europe but not always in Southeast Asia. I thought it would be worth paying 1200 baht for a gel refill (short almond 800) and color (400! I had to take it as they only work with clear gel), as agreed via Instagram. Unfortunately, my experience fell far below expectations.
Upon arrival, I showed the agreed details, but the staff informed me that a basic manicure (pushing back the cuticle and cleaning the nail bed) would cost an extra 300 baht. This is standard practice as part of proper gel application, so the additional charge was surprising. With no time to spare due to a photoshoot later, I reluctantly agreed.
The setup was uncomfortable—no nail desk, only a pedicure chair, leaving my back in pain. As for the “sterile” instruments, they were in sterilization pouches, but the indicators hadn’t changed color, signaling they hadn’t been sterilized. Drill bits, nail files, and other consumables were visibly reused MANY times, which is concerning for hygiene.
The 300 baht manicure itself was harsh, and trimming around the nails left me with tenderness and discomfort. The gel refill process was poorly executed: uneven nail lengths, over-filed sidewalls (compromising structure), and flimsy application. I had to point out and request fixes for nearly every nail throughout the process. While the lady had good color application skills, the polish was applied too far from the cuticle. The result? My nails are botched in structure but look somewhat decent from the top—entirely due to my constant feedback.
Given that I’ve been doing nails for over 10 years in Europe with proper tools, disposable consumables, and sterilized instruments, I charge €45 for this service. At 1500 baht, this was overpriced for the service I received. While the staff member was friendly, the lack of experience and hygiene standards was disappointing.
Two stars: one for the friendly attitude and one for the decent color...
Read moreThe best nail salon in Chiang Mai!! I went for a manicure and pedicure with normal polish tonight and it was amazing. It’s very hard to find a good salon that does normal polish and not gel these days. I already have strong nails and don’t like the removal process of gel and Bliss has a nice range of OPI nail polish to choose from. My technician was incredibly skilled. She is so meticulous and gentle. I normally worry about cuticle care on my small toes, as they are sensitive but she was so gentle. I was so comfortable and experienced no pains. She also checks every nail and shows you the shape to ensure you are happy before proceeding. Honestly the whole process was just so professional. The tools are all sanitised and they open new ones for every customer. The price is reasonable for the quality of work. Yes it’s a little more expensive than other places but it is absolutely worth it. Keep up the great work ladies! This is the only nail salon I’ll visit in Chiang Mai...

The interior of the salon is cozy, and there are plenty of nail designs to choose from. The nail technicians could speak English and were attentive and efficient, providing me with excellent service. Moreover, the prices were very reasonable, making it even more appealing. I genuinely wish I lived in Chiang Mai so that I could continue supporting this nail salon!
