I had the absolute pleasure of spending time at the stunning rooftop of Hotel Meliá Chiang Mai, and it was nothing short of exceptional from start to finish.

From the moment I made the reservation, Miss Amelia made everything seamless and welcoming. Her attention to detail and professionalism set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable evening.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and treated with the kindest hospitality by Miss Carmen, who surprised us with a delightful cake and drinks – a gesture that made the experience feel even more special and personal. Her warmth and attentiveness did not go unnoticed.

A special thank you goes out to Mr.Jose, the head staff member, whose presence and leadership clearly elevate the service here. His friendly demeanor and attention to guests ensured that everything ran perfectly.

As a Chiang Mai resident for many years I was keen to try out the new 'Mai The Sky Bar' so when I had some visitors come over to Thailand, I took them up there. It had the sort of 'swanky' feel you would expect at a rooftop of a major hotel and offered clean and comfortable surroundings. It was about as pricey as I expected at such a bar and the drinks and snacks were good. Staff were efficient but not really sociable.

Views are good for Chiang Mai, though nothing spectacular - other than sunsets. The visit was relatively expensive for a small group and everyone's opinion after, was "it was OK, but nothing special" which is a bit of a shame. It reflected my own opinion that there was just no atmosphere in the place, and the staff could have been more enthusiastic.

One problem I will recount. I visited reception at the Meliá twice before my group arrived, and asked about anything special happening on the roof, or special promotions, before I brought my group there, and was told NO on both occasions. I had the pleasure of visiting Mai The Sky Bar during my recent trip to Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the highlights of my vacation. The bar offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city, especially at sunset, creating a stunning backdrop for a perfect evening.

Our experience was made even more memorable by our waiter, Ernasto. From the moment we arrived, he provided exceptional service—welcoming us with a warm smile and a genuine enthusiasm that set the tone for the night. Ernasto was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended some fantastic cocktails that we thoroughly enjoyed. His attention to detail and willingness to ensure we had everything we needed truly stood out.

The ambiance at Mai The Sky Bar is vibrant and chic, making it a great place to unwind. The drinks were expertly crafted, and the selection of small bites complemented the cocktails beautifully.
