Food good, and building's ambience is exceptional. We sat outside by the narrow lane with occasional traffic and pedestrians passing. But our experience was very much let down by the poor service. My partner's cheese and ham toasty arrived quickly enough, and I'd expected that if I was to be served chips (as we Brits call them, or french-fries as some call them) it might take time to heat the oil. But some time after the toasties were well finished, and my tummy was making angry noises at being ignored, I had to tap the window to get the attention of the 5 people - the staff - sitting around indolently, for attention to my order. The waitress seemed completely oblivious, as though it didn't concern her, but sometime later my club sandwich arrived with crisps! Haha Or chips as Americans aberrantly refer to them as! The small salad of leaves and tomato was as fresh as it could possibly have been, but no dressing or condiments were offered. Tissues were handed through halfway through my (much later) part of our repast. Inevitably conversation moved onto French waitering, the very antithesis of what we were experiencing. It was clear that none of the five would have had the slightest clue concerning what we were discussing. So what should have been a very pleasant lunch was let down by sloppy and indifferent service, completely out of character to this place's aspirations. 😕 Another point I'd suggest is removing the attractive balcony photo from here, as it's only available to hotel guests, I...

Pran was easily the best decision I made based on google reviews. I booked a queen room and it had such a cozy vibe to it. The rooms are all well planned and designed tastefully by the hotel owner Mrs P to the point I checked with her if she had some sort of degree in interior design
Hotel Location: located in Old Town, it’s walking distance to most places and has other restaurants near by. There’s even a 7-11
People:
This is a family run hotel and that reflects in the way the hotel works. It doesn’t have that commercial property vibe, for example, I missed complimentary breakfasts on all the days that I was there because I used to get out quite early but still the owner was kind enough to give the complimentary breakfast in the evening.
She even helped me out when I came back bruised from my hike at the waterfalls.
Food:
Best croissants!
Also the owner makes the food fresh at times and it turns out lovely though I wait a bit for the order to arrive
How can I end this review without writing about PangKa! He’s the heart of this place....

When the weather is good, it can be open air, or it is nice and cool when the doors are shut.
They take great pride in offering the best menu in town at good prices and will make you feel right at home.
Their menu is on so delicious - YUM! Also, you will have the best of time in this centrally located spot here in Chiang Mai.
Definitely something to check out here in Chiang Mai for outstanding food and stellar hospitality.
Also, the cafe is decorated with fresh flowers! It is so delightful!
Also it is located in a safe area. As a solo, female traveler, I walked freely within about 2 miles of the boutique hotel with no problems, day or night.
Don’t forget to try their speciality drinks and coffee!
Enjoy!...
