I recently visited Smash Daddy Burger and tried a variety of items from their menu. First up was the Sweet Baby JJs, which was a solid choice. The burger came with a bacon BBQ jam that added a nice savory-sweet touch to the whole thing. The jam was rich and had a smoky flavor that paired perfectly with the crispy bacon. The beef patty itself was juicy, with a great crispy edge, thanks to the smash cooking technique. The bun held up well without getting soggy, and overall, it made for a satisfying, flavorful burger that I'd definitely order again.
I also tried the mini dogs, and these were a real highlight. What stood out was the quality of the franks—they were top-tier. The dogs had that perfect snap when you bit into them, and they were cooked just right. They were the ideal size for a side or snack, and a nice departure from the typical burger fare.
For my child, I ordered a plain smash burger, and it turned out to be just what he wanted. Sometimes, simple is best, and the plain burger really hit the mark. The patty was tender and flavorful on its own, showing that even the simplest options can be executed well.
The mac and cheese was good, but it was on the basic side. The cheese sauce was creamy and comforting, but it didn’t have any particularly unique flavors or anything that made it stand out. Still, it was a nice side dish that did the job.
The tater tots and onion rings, however, were fantastic. Both were crispy and delicious—perfectly fried to a golden, crunchy texture on the outside while staying soft and fluffy on the inside for the tots, and just the right amount of batter on the onion rings. These were definitely some of the best sides of the meal and added a satisfying crunch to the whole experience.
Definitely check out Smash Daddy’s Burgers if you’re looking for a good smash...
Read moreI recently enjoyed dining at Smash Burger; the burgers truly lived up to their name! The restaurant's claim that their burgers are made with 100% beef and two hand-smashed patties was evident in each bite. We enjoyed trying a few different burgers from their menu, and each one was unique.
We tried the Smash Daddy, which came with two smashed beef patties, cheese, smashy sauce, pickles, and onions. This burger had a great combination of flavors and textures that made for a satisfying bite. The patties were juicy, and the smashy sauce added a nice tanginess to the overall taste.
Also, the Sweet Baby JJ's burger came with smashed beef patties, cheese, BBO bacon jam, dijon mayo, mustard, and pickled jalapeños. This burger had a perfect balance of sweetness and spice, and the bacon jam added a smoky flavor that brought the burger together.
The Chilly Willy burger is worth trying if you’re looking for a burger with some heat. It came with smashed beef patties, pork & beef chili con carne, cheese, pickled jalapeños, and dijon mayo. The chili con carne had an excellent kick and paired well with the other ingredients.
I also tried the My Boy, Blue burger with smashed beef patties, blue cheese spread, bacon bits, pickles, onion, lettuce, and tomato. This burger had an outstanding balance of flavors, and the blue cheese spread added a nice tanginess to the overall taste.
Overall, Smash Burger lived up to its name and provided some delicious burgers that satisfy your cravings. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the burgers, and the service was friendly and attentive. They rally know how to make a great burger, I recommend giving Smash...
Read moreI was thrilled when I saw Smash Daddy’s was opening their new location a mere 400 meters from my condo! Being an expat overseas for the first time in my life around the holidays has left me craving the feeling of something familiar, and this place hits the spot…but like a better, cleaner version of anything I found in America!
The restaurant itself was quite possibly the cleanest restaurant I’ve ever been to in Thailand. The staff was welcoming, friendly and authentically kind. You can tell they paid attention to details when bringing this place to life. An example of that was the outlets that are by many of the seating areas (both upstairs and downstairs), which myself and perpetually dying Iphone appreciated.
Now for the best part…the food! I ordered the truffle shuffle with beef and the truffle fries. Have a friend who’s obnoxiously gluten free or something like that? Not to worry, you can get all burgers as lettuce wraps (though they would be missing out cu the bun is a fluffy piece of heaven). The meat is high quality, pickles that remind me of dill slices from home, and don’t get me started on these fries. Just try them, you won’t be mad.
I’ll definitely be back, with a big group of friends next time. This place is perfect for a solo meal or a group gathering. Well done...
