Autogrill Risto Bar Pizza — Restaurant in Karon

As Italian abroad I came here just to have a small food-escape from Thai food. We ordered gnocchi ai 4 formaggi and a margherita. Both were strongly below expectations. On the one hand the margherita really looked like and tasted as a supermarket pizza, on the other hand gnocchi were definitely not homemade (as the menu was explicitly saying) and the taste was below expectations. I am aware of being in Thailand but if you claim yourself as Italian restaurant then try to do your best to be like one. Overall very poor food experience and it did not come relatively cheap. I hope this review to prompt and motivate a better performance of Italian...

First visit 5 star. Fantastic pizza, perfectly crispy, generous serving of parmesan cheese without any extra charge. Ice cold draft beer. Raved about it online and rushed back the next day.

Second visit 2 star. Pizza not crispy enough. They said draft beer was finished so I ordered a bottle which was not cold at all. Went to the toilet, which has no bidet, yet they ask you not to drop tissue in the toilet, meaning there's a pile of you know what right there. Disgusting. Came back from the toilet and saw someone getting served a draft beer. What?!

Last night my wife and I decided to have dinner at this restaurant. My wife ordered chicken salad and I ordered pork with creamed mushrooms. While eating, I felt a strange taste, but I thought that this was normal for local mushrooms. Two hours later I felt sick. I felt very bad all night. I felt sick until the morning. The next day I feel weak. Perhaps other dishes won't make you feel so bad. Come and experiment. But I advise you to just find...
