During our stay, my girlfriend and I discovered Small Thai Restaurant, and it quickly became our go-to spot for every lunch and dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, maintaining authentic Thai price levels, unlike some places near the beach that inflate their costs.
The service was exceptional—thoughtful, kind, and fluent in English, making communication seamless. As a celiac, I was thrilled to find that they offered gluten-free options, including soy sauce without gluten. This attention to detail meant I could enjoy almost everything on the menu without worry, which is such a rare and amazing experience.
On top of that, they had a great selection of water-based ice creams at prices comparable to, or even cheaper than, Seven Eleven or nearby mini markets. It was a perfect way to end a meal or cool down during the day.

Read moreSmall Thai Restaurant's food was reasonably priced (compared to most in the area). Food was delicious, portion sizes were good and service was great. My boyfriend and I had our meals here multiple times and tried many dishes. Our recommendations include the pineapple fried rice, fried fish, som tam (papaya salad), gai pad med mamuang (stir fried chicken with cashew nuts), panang curry and of course the pad kra pao (holy basil stir fried with your choice of protein - literally the best I had while in Thailand). Their spicy dishes are spicy but if you can handle the heat, you can ask them to add more chili.
The service was good with no complaints. This was one of our go-to restaurants while we were in the area. We tried other restaurants but Small Thai definitely came out on top - tasty food with affordable prices.
Definitely a place we recommend to all looking to try...
Read moreI fookin” love this place!
It’s basically a street food stall that happens to have some chairs and tables, so don’t turn up expecting silver cutlery and fine china. But if you’re looking for an authentic tasting Thai dish at a super cheap price, then get yourself down here.
It’s a family run place and the mum is a one woman show (cook & waitress) with her 2 young sons there for company. Although the older of the 2 should probably help out more!
Their food is delicious and can cost as little as 60 baht (£1.50). It’s so cheap that I always leave a big tip for her and still save money compared to other places nearby! You’ll see it pretty full up around dinner time for good reason, both locals and tourists that know about it know that it’s good.
Ate here for everyday for my last 3 days as I discovered it late into my stay. Make sure to check it out if you’re...
