The Kitchen Kata Beach — Restaurant in Karon

Awful Thai Food!!! Ordered 4 dishes : green curry chicken, yellow curry squid, Tom yam soup, and beef salad.

Green curry chicken TASTED THE SAME as Yellow curry squid. The dishes were seemingly cooked with the same read-made-source/paste. Curry dishes were diluted with water instead of coconut milk. Tom Yam soup was tasteless, not spicy, not sour, no flavor. Almost as good as drinking hot water with prawn and some button mushrooms. Beef in the beef salad wasn't fresh.

While they mentioned that they were running promotion at the entrance of the restaurant. The cheapest rate of red wine was overpriced, charged at 950 baht per bottle.

If you noticed, there were ONLY foreigners customers. NOT a single local customer.

The only good thing I could say would be the watermelon, which was presented as FOC at the end of the meal, 5 x thin slides of sweet juicy watermelon (for 2 persons).

I noticed this place in the afternoon on the taxi ride to Central Festival. I wanted to try it out. First impression, greeted nicely by patron. Nice ocean breeze and some smooth jazz music. Intimate environment. Decor mostly consisted of different light fixtures. Patron took my to-go order then brought me some slices of watermelon and a beverage of what seemed to be mango (very refreshing!). The menu items were a lot different from all the places where Chanalai Garden Resort was. I liked that. Food smells amazing as they were cooking it and it appears they offer Thai cooking classes here. Place is empty but I gather its because everyone is at the beach. It's not good restaurant. I ordered green curry chicken and I expected that it should be with coconut milk or cream, but it was only with water like chicken stock! Not acceptable. It wasn't good, like a bad dream. The staff also made a mistakes. We ordered three dishes. When my wife has finished her fried wegetables with pork, i got mine.
