Khumtong seafood by One D kata beach — Restaurant in Karon

We walked in off the street and didn't bother to look at reviews first. We ordered green chicken curry, chicken fried rice, and garlic chicken (wings), and thai tea. Every dish was poor. The thai curry tasted like soap, the wings had very little meat and were entirely flavorless and were topped with raw chopped garlic. Garlic was the only taste. The fried rice was fried rice. Average for the price. The thai tea had a distinct chemical taste to it, like some kind of protein shake flavor, maybe it was powdered milk. Overall, I'd say that none of the dishes were particularly fresh, though the presentation was decent. We asked for the check and it has 590 written on it when the total was 540. I left 540 and they stopped us when leaving and I told him to check each item price. We ended up paying 540. Not sure if it was an honest mistake, or just that they tried to scam an extra 50 baht. I assume that most customers just pay and don't add up the totals. Either way, it was very disappointing. Do yourself a favor and just eat at the street...

They have two locations. This one is pertaining to their location on Patak Road. Can’t speak for the food, but we were staying across the street in a hotel close by and they had karaoke thumping until early hours (3 to 4am) in the morning at full blast with bass. People were screaming the karaoke songs. Our hotel room was shaking and we could still hear the music with earplugs in. I came around midnight to get some food cause I was starving after dealing with some tummy problems. I picked pizza Margherita because it was mentioned as “NEW OFFER” and seemed like a good option. You can only imagine my disappointment when I got a frozen pizza for 200Bath and it was not even cook all the way through. Money lost, hungry still, won’t be coming back. Please don’t scam people like that....
