TL;DR below
Today was our last night in Thailand, so my girlfriend and I decided to treat ourselves. A lovely couple we had met recommended the red snapper, so we gave it a shot.
We ordered mango smoothies, a couple sushi rolls, penne and a lasagna. The sushi came first, and was okay, but nothing to write home about. The smoothies were basically sweetened juice and ice mushed together, unlikely to have been made with real mangoes. Each sip drew large chunks of ice, and almost no fruit. 1/5.
When my girlfriend's lasagna arrived, I could tell this was going to be a rough night. It looked nothing like the picture in the menu. It was served in a cheap looking white tray, and the pasta had collapsed on itself. The lasagna was clearly overcooked. One bite into it, we could tell this came straight from a supermarket's frozen deli section.
My penne was pretty much the same sad story. Boring, bland, and tasted like heated frozen food.
Prices are Phuket standard - 3 to 4 times more than what you find in the rest of Thailand. Our meal cost us 720 baht, the most we've spent on food in this country by a long shot.
CONCLUSION / TL;DR Overall terrible experience, no redeeming factors. This restaurant would have no clientele outside of Phuket. Giant disappointment, 0/5, avoid...
Read moreStay clear of this place. My girlfriend and I wanted to take a break from thai food and found ourselves at this restaurant, but it was one of the worst dining experiences we've ever experienced. We ordered the gyoza, takoyaki, seafood pasta, and salmon rolls. Not a single dish was up to par. the salmon rolls were poorly wrapped and the rice was unseasoned. the takoyaki and gyoza tasted like they were store bought frozen and then flash fried. The dough was extremely chewy on the inside almost as if it was undercooked. the shrimp in the seafood pasta was definitely not fresh as it was rubbery and lacked the "bounce" when you bite into it. lastly not even our "fresh" watermelon smoothie, as advertised, was made with fresh watermelon as there were frozen chunks of watermelon. Its utterly ridiculous that you can purchase fresh shrimp and fresh watermelon smoothies from street vendors at half the price. Do yourselves a favor and eat...
Read moreHad the red snapper nigiri, salmon sashimi, and tuna sashimi....snapper was server fairly warm as the rice wasn't cooled. There was a small bug on the salmon but oh well, its phuket and there's bugs on everything. 12 hours of straight vomiting later and it's safe to say that this was a terrible decision. I'm fairly confident that it was bad snapper (ironic). I'm laying in bed still writing this review to warn others, please don't eat sushi here. I had nothing else to eat that I could blame this on.
I noticed your reply and thank you but I 100% received food poisoning from your restaurant. I understand you may not like to hear it but I literally ate nothing else that entire day and the only thing I vomited was rice and fish.... also I'm not sure what you're talking about but sushi should never be served with warm rice. It should be served at room temperature. Please do your research if you intend to make...
