Despite the good food, the TERRIBLE service and attitude of the staff ruined our evening. We had some changes with the number of people in our booking so in the end our group was split into two tables (not 2 nearby ones, it was in a different restaurant). When we asked to sit at the counter together, 8 people, they did not accommodate at all and simply said 5 could sit here as a party of 3 booked the seats next to us. We started eating at 7pm, finished by 8pm, the table of 3 still did not arrive. I asked to talk to the manager, she told us they booked the table for 8:30pm. I asked why she didn’t inform us earlier, all of us could have sat together and finished before 8:30pm (we asked for the check by 8:10pm). She only said she cannot, cause if the customer came early, they would not have a place to sit. I was so angry, instead of seating a party together she decided to leave a table empty for 1.5 hours? Surely if a guest comes 20 mins before their reservation it should be understandable to them if their table isn’t ready? None of the staff apologized, they were so rude and unhelpful. Overall the good food is the only reason I gave this review 2 stars...

I have to be straight up about this place, this restaurant really put a huge damper on the rest of my night with a gorgeous date. I do not recommend eating here.

I ordered the chef special 5 skewers along with some dried fish that was 220 and 300 baht each. The 390 baht cheese dish was actually very good. But these two other dishes were awful, and there was no excuse. They served us 5 skewers that were worse than street food quality - i.e. the meatballs all had bits of ground up bone pieces inside, and one of the skewers was fully inedible (80% cartilage). One of the skewers was 3 small tomatoes. The 220 baht dish was a few tiny pieces of dried, oversalted gross fish that looked nothing like the picture.

Overall we were charged 1000 baht for a dinner that was way, way under expectations and I had to quickly leave the restaurant before getting upset about the quality (and quantity) of our food. Me and my date both agreed that what they charged was too much, especially for the quality of food we got which was the lowest grade of meat available.

DON'T EAT HERE!!! You'll literally be better off grabbing skewers off the...

For context I ordered the 7 course menu and dined solo. The atmosphere inside is lovely.

Each skewer was brought out individually. The wait between the skewers was simply too long. By the 4th skewer arrived, the three appetizers were long gone and rice was now cold and stale. Even with the most mindful approach to eating I don’t need more than 30 seconds to nibble on few pieces of broccoli. Taste wise the skewers were nice and smokey but leaned on the salty side.

There was one awkward moment when a server noticed empty skewer sticks were accumulating on the serving dish. The server grabbed them and placed them inside a cup in front of me. Why not just clear it? Was it meant to be a teaching moment?

I think it’s a place to come with a group where you can occupy the time in between skewers with drinks and lively conversation. With that said, there should be better observation and coordination to improve timing of when...

Ruined by the food service style. It could have been good, but they have some significant issues. Yakatori needs to be super fresh to reach its potential, unfortunately sticks pile up in a bowl next to the chef and wait for a server to find them and then the servers typically trim them, plate them and then you wait for the server in your area to notice and place them… by this time most of the sticks I ordered were only just warm and underwhelming. I also got 5 sticks at one time… showing just how long they had been hanging out. So by the time I actually ate the sticks there were even more cold. I did immediately ask if it was possible to slow the service and receive them one-by-one and they tried (but generally failed). I’ve been to this chain SG and it’s amazing there… I hope they sort out the pacing and service. But until they do, don’t go.

✨ Best of the Best Yakitori in Town – Toritama ✨ If you’re looking for the ultimate izakaya experience in Bangkok, Toritama is hands down the place to be. Specializing in chicken, the menu covers everything from the familiar cuts to the rarest parts you won’t easily find elsewhere. The grill master here is exceptional – every skewer is perfectly grilled over charcoal, juicy and full of flavor. I’ve been to this place several times, and it never fails to impress me. My personal favorite is the chicken oyster – tender, rich, and simply unforgettable. Pair it with sake, and you’ll see why Toritama is often called the best izakaya in town. Whether you’re a yakitori enthusiast or just looking for an authentic Japanese dining spot, this is a must-visit.

The best chicken in town. I don’t know how many times I’ve been here and they still have way to impress me. No doubt about their grilling skill. All skewers came perfectly with crips on the outside and juicy in the inside. You should also try the chicken organs. They are beyoooond! I recommend edge of gizzard, chicken heart, top of heart for the chicken organs. For other parts, go ahead with chicken skin, premium chicken ball, chicken butt or your fav parts. And something I always order to finish my meal: grilled sweet potato, camembert cheese and honey. 10 10 10! Last but not least, try the pork belly wrapped over rice. Super tasty but you need to order a bit early cuz it takes time.
