If you don't speak Thai it's ok, they have all items in picture and numbered. No confusion in bills, what you want or how much. No tip necessary. Closes at 10pm. If you enjoy variety, good tasting food(not 5 star or Michelin ⭐ ) and at a good price you need to go here as soon as you can. I was a bit skeptical at first when I walked in but when I saw the crowd and a variety they had I was sold. The prices are crazy reasonable. I'm talking about the food court not the restaurants inside the mall. The restaurants are quite high but the the food court (5th floor) where you have to use a pier21 card. (You prepay with baht). The prices are close to street food pricing. the cleanliness is over-the-top. They even have a UV cleaner for the knife and forks. I don't even see that in Europe or America. Highly highly recommended. You would be doing yourself an injustice if you don't visit at least once just for variety and convenient alone. Skip all the other overpriced tourists bulsh** in the mall and go straight to the food court. Post Covid revisit 1/13/2022 things are still the same with the exception of mask and temperature as you walk in. I got a 200 baht card and still have 48 baht left. I'm too full. Update December 23 2023: Mostly Prices are still the same despite inflation going crazy this last year. Service is remains excellent. I couldn't spend 300 baht. I ate 2 meal(100, 45 baht/, 2 deserts(35, 45baht), a coconut (35baht). Bottle water was 7 baht.

So Pier 21 was cool albeit some user error and low blood sugar kept us from really enjoying it. It is a prepay situation where you go to a cashier and get a card and put money on it and then use that card to go cafeteria style anywhere you want to go. And it is free sitting like in a food court. It took us a really long time to realize that because it was super crowded and we missed the small kiosk on the way in. We missed it because it was surrounded by people and there was lines 15 to 20 deep for all of the cashiers. I think we just got there at a busy time it was lunch time. And it became super overwhelming. Not to mention the fact that when I did grab a tray it was greasy and dirty. And then I went under to grab the next tray which was also greasy and dirty and so on until I just gave up. We ended up going down a floor which is still in the building and still had plenty of food options but were cash options and another food court that we understood how to use in our low blood sugar state. It was amazing good food it's really a beautiful location. Each floor has a different theme so the food court in question is on the San Francisco floor which is what the picture of the San Francisco bridge is. Fourth floor is a Turkish motif and beautiful. It's like I think 6 or 7 floors. I thought it went down past ground floor. Lots of options.

I really love the food court at the Terminal 21 mall, located on the 5th floor, also easy to get to since the Sky Train stops right at the mall and is even connected by walkways, just hope off at the Asok station. Not only do they have a great selection of different food vendors but the place is CLEAN, plus all of the dishes are listed in English and the prices are unbelievable inexpensive. One of the best booths is in the beginning on the left hand side, they sell a variety of freshly made Som Tum (Papaya Salad) you order and then watch the ladies make it for your right in front of you... you can also request how much spice you want, or none at all. A regular is 34 bhat and for that you get a large portion (see the photos) this booth generally has a little line.... because they are making everything fresh as you wait, so good. Also really love the fresh fruit smoothies, so inexpensive and again made fresh, and then for desert the booth that has mango with sticky rice or even better shaved ice with five different toppings with loganberry syrup. You really cant go wrong here, the only difficult part is sometimes finding an empty table, I try to avoid going right at lunch time because it just gets to crowded with all the office workers in the neighborhood, they know a good thing also.

Pier 21 Food Terminal is a great place to enjoy a variety of Thai and Asian dishes at affordable prices. The food court is located on the fifth floor of Terminal 21, a shopping mall that resembles an airport with different themes for each floor. You can find everything from noodles and rice to dim sum and desserts, all freshly cooked and delicious. The portions are generous and the flavors are authentic. You can also get drinks and smoothies to quench your thirst. To order food, you need to buy a card at the counter and load it with money. Then you can use the card to pay at any stall you like. You can also refund the remaining balance at the counter when you are done. The card system is convenient and easy to use. The food court is spacious and clean, with plenty of seating and a nice view of the city. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the service is fast and efficient. Pier 21 Food Terminal is a must-visit if you are looking for a satisfying and budget-friendly meal in Bangkok. You can enjoy a variety of dishes and experience the local culture and cuisine. It is also a good option if you are in a hurry or want to try different things. I would highly recommend Pier 21 Food Terminal to anyone who loves food and wants to have a good time.

Best food court in Thailand. So much variety. Hearty, simple, healthy food. Thais come here to eat too so you know you’re on a winner. Westerners, do yourself a favour and order a Som Tam (Thai salad) - impossible to authentically prepare in western countries. It’s genuine Thai food. The kiosk is at a side corner at the front of the food court. It’s… dare I say… healthy too. Drink options… delicious fruit smoothies… many options. To use the food court. You must obtain a temporary use card upon which you load up with value. Budget at 100-150 baht per person. One card per person in your group. Each time you order food, present the card. When finished, obtain a full refund for unused money. Simple! For one dish plus a fruit smoothie I spend under 100 baht. Look for cutlery stands. Avoid midday as seats are scarce. When finished, take your tray to a cleaning station. Westerners… just say the menu item number and hold up fingers to indicate how many. Simple. Gluten free / coeliac: plenty of options. Vegetarians too. It’s pretty obvious. Peanut allergy? The som tam is prepared with peanuts and the mortar/pestle is in continuous use.
