R Walk (Ratchaprasong SkyWalk) — Local services in Pathum Wan Subdistrict

This bridge is literally a life saver and helps to connect the the walk from BTS station Chitlom since the traffic along this road is so bad, so road crossing is a nightmare and even walking along the sidewalk is bad at times since you have to walk under the sun and they are so narrow and often times the pavement is “broken”. So in that sense , I would rather climb up the stairs as it makes travelling along this road much more comfortable and faster from Chitlom BTS (exit 6) and all the way down to Siam BTS (the Siam Paragon exit if I’m not wrong). There are certain linkways to malls as well that helps make the commute easier. Skywalks are Bangkok's best 'inventions' for walkers to escape the horrific traffic on the streets. And thus specific one here is not only my favourite skywalk, but one of the most important ones in the city. It connects the mighty CentralWorld with the infamous Platinum Mall. Besides it helps you also cross the street if you want to visit the huge supermarket Big C. The connecting bridge to this supermarket is also a famous photo spot. You'll stand here just above the busy street packed with cars. It takes about 10min from CentralWorld to Platinum Mall on the R Walk. The Skywalk itself is very clean and a heaven to walk on. reached by BTS Chitlom, exit 6, a central location from the WALK to many nearby well known top tourist attractions: the grand centralworld shopping mall, the central dept store, nearby many five star hotels and go worship the 4 face buddha/god, and other shrines (i think eight in number), the WALK also provide fast access to BIG C (supermarket) nearby, which are often quite crowded with tourists (chinese top souvenir destination) and local residents and gaysorn village, another premium shopping mall and of course lots to eat there in all malls, hotels and nearby street stalls.
