Dragon Seafood — Restaurant in Lumphini Subdistrict

Upscale seafood restaurant infront of CentralWorld. We used to eat here more than 20 years ago, so this time we bring our daughter along for a good taste of seafood. We oedered medium sized butter fried lobster (me and my daughter cannot even finished it). We also ordered grilled river prawns, soft shelled crab with salted egg, egg omelette, and mango vege. The taste is awesome and delicious. The atmosphere is nice. The staffs are polite. The restaurant is clean. We go there by walking from Chit Lom station (about 10 mins). We were looking for a nice restaurant in the vicinity and found this Chinese Restaurant. Went it and found the food to be good. However, we noticed that they didn't served us water, but they were serving other customers, mostly locals. When we asked for a glass if water, they gave us 1 bottled water. When we asked for the bill, they've added 10% tax and 10% service charge. Which I think they don't charge local customers. The water cost 40 baht (in nearby 7-11its 9 baht). Escorted in and directly to a table with no wait. We saw online they had mantis shrimp and it was a close walk from our hotel. Busy street outside with small shops next door and CentralwOrld mall across the way.

There was no mantis shrimp available so we opted for Tom yum and garlic soft shell crab. Tom yum was good but the soft shell crab was decent. The crab could’ve used a little more flavor.

Pretty expensive for our taste at $27usd or 940 baht for two main dishes, two bowls of rice and one water bottle split. What’s to be expected from a restaurant against...
