I just ate here last night with friends and it was incredible. The people that prepared the food obviously understand Royal Thai cuisine and managed to do an incredible 100% plant based experience. I am vegan and i was thrilled with quality traditional experience of Thai food. (I have been living and working in Thailand for over 25 years). The staff were all really kind and helpful. The menu was full of incredible variety of choices. All items are well described in english and thai, and there is a picture of the dish as well. The set up allows you to choose several courses and share it family style. One highlight was the eggplant salad. Another was the coconut based soup. I cant wait to get back and try more of the items. The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor in the new Market shopping center. Eventually it will be full of restaurants, but for now a few brave restaurants have opened including Baan Ying Plant Based. When i went on saturday evening it was not at app busy. But it will be once diacovered. If you are vegan, vegitarian, or plant based this is really worth your...
Read more"Ying's Garden Plant-based Restaurant in Bangkok was a wonderful discovery for our vegetarian day. Based on the positive reviews we found on Google, we decided to try it out, and we're so glad we did.
The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the stir-fried Thai vegetable leaves and the plant-based minced 'pork' fried with basil, and both dishes were bursting with flavor. The vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked, and the plant-based protein had a wonderfully savory and satisfying texture.
What really impressed us, though, was the attentiveness of the server. Despite the language barrier (she didn't speak much English), she clearly understood all of our special requests, such as asking for no sugar in the rice vermicelli salad.
Now we now know exactly where to go whenever we're craving flavorful, plant-based Thai cuisine. This restaurant is a true gem, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic vegetarian dining experience...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I were sad to find out Baan Ying’s Plant Based Garden closed at The Market. Turns out they just relocated (and upgraded)!
This is easily one of the best vegan Thai restaurants around. Unlike many vegan places in Thailand that follow jai cuisine, they use garlic and other pungent ingredients for authentic Thai flavors. They serve sophisticated, traditional Thai dishes you won’t find elsewhere.
The new location is an upgrade and includes an actual garden setting. They’ve elevated the entire experience with better service, plus more offerings (wine, cocktails, and mocktails). They’re constantly innovating too, like the new vegan egg we tried.
The food was already incredible, but now the entire dining experience matches that quality. Definitely worth the visit for vegans and non-vegans...
