A Gastronomic Extravaganza - Zuma Bangkok: Where Culinary Delights Take Center Stage Every aspect of my meal, from the appetizers to the drinks and dessert, surpassed my expectations and left me in awe of Zuma's culinary prowess. To begin with, the edamame at Zuma Bangkok was a simple yet delightful way to kick off the meal. The steamed soybeans were perfectly seasoned, offering a satisfying crunch with a burst of flavor. It served as an excellent palate cleanser, preparing me for the gastronomic journey that lay ahead. The tempura sushi was an absolute revelation. The combination of crispy tempura batter, fresh shrimps, and perfectly seasoned rice created a harmonious symphony of textures and flavors. Each bite was a delightful fusion of crunch and melt-in-your-mouth goodness, leaving me craving for more. The deep-fried soft shell crab was a standout dish that showcased Zuma's expertise in preparing seafood. The crab was delicately fried to perfection, resulting in a crispy exterior while maintaining its succulent and flavorful interior. The accompanying dipping sauce provided a tangy complement that enhanced the overall experience. The lamb cutlets were a true testament to Zuma's mastery of meat. Cooked to a perfect medium-rare, the tender and juicy lamb was seasoned impeccably, allowing the natural flavors to shine. Each bite was a delightful explosion of savory goodness, leaving me completely satisfied. The drinks at Zuma Bangkok were equally impressive. The virgin passion fruit mojito was a refreshing and vibrant concoction. The balance of sweet and tangy flavors, coupled with the aromatic mint, made it the perfect accompaniment to the meal. It was a non-alcoholic beverage that didn't compromise on taste or creativity. Finally, the cheesecake was a delightful conclusion to the culinary journey. The velvety smooth texture, combined with the perfect balance of sweetness, made it a truly indulgent treat. It was a delectable way to end the meal on a high note. Beyond the exceptional food and drinks, Zuma Bangkok exudes an ambiance of elegance and sophistication. The stylish decor, warm lighting, and attentive service create an atmosphere that is both inviting and luxurious. The staff members were knowledgeable, accommodating, and added an extra touch of hospitality to the overall experience. In conclusion, Zuma Bangkok is a culinary haven that sets the bar high for exceptional dining experiences. The impeccable execution of each dish, the tantalizing flavors, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal make it a true gastronomic extravaganza. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor to Bangkok, a visit to Zuma is an absolute must for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience.

Zuma Bangkok exceeded all expectations with its sophisticated take on the Japanese izakaya dining experience. From start to finish, every dish and drink left us impressed and craving more. The Chili Passion Fruit Margarita was a delightful blend of flavors, perfectly balancing sweet and spicy notes. The Sakura cocktail transported us with its delicate floral essence, a true taste of spring. The small plates were equally impressive. The Steamed Edamame with Sea Salt was a simple yet satisfying start, while the Garlic Noodles had just the right amount of garlic punch. The Avocado Sushi Rolls were fresh and flavorful, a must-try for sushi lovers. The Takoyaki with Katsuobushi and Yuzu Mayo was a unique twist on a classic dish, bursting with umami goodness. The Mango and Young Coconut Custard Chawan Mushi with Passion Fruit was a delightful surprise, marrying tropical flavors in a silky-smooth custard. The Sweet Corn with Shiso Butter was a revelation, elevating humble corn to gourmet status with its herbaceous buttery goodness. And the dessert, oh the dessert! The Special Chocolate, Caramel, and Hazelnut Praline with Tahitian Vanilla Ice Cream was pure indulgence, a symphony of rich flavors and textures. To top it all off, the Sakura Wine was the perfect accompaniment to our meal, tying everything together with its delicate floral notes. The impeccable service and chic ambiance only added to the overall experience. Zuma Bangkok is a culinary gem that shouldn't be missed. We'll definitely be back for more!

That was my second time in Zuma BKK. We took a tasting menu and I have to say not bad. Even if it is not considered fine dining they did a good job. Everything was tasty and visually appealing. The concept of Zuma is to do a bit of a show, and I like it! if it comes to food, focusing a tiny bit more on the content would help though. Going very often to fine dining and Michelin restaurants, this is what I can compare of what I've learned so far from tasting menus: portions are way too big for a 12 course tasting menu. A regular Salad (leafs, radish) is, well, I don't know if necessary in a tasting menu as well as the miso soup. The corn was okay but also is filling quite a bit as it is still a carb as a starchy food. Without those it would have been enough already and focused on the best pieces. In total to make it a quality tasting experience, only a few adjustments and it would be on a good level. Usually I don't like macreles but it was super tasty not too fishy which was surprising. The rest was good as always. Meat and fish was on point. I did like the dessert the most but it's a matter of taste which ones the best )) at a later hour there was a party vibe going on with drinks an good mood on the neighbor tables. I felt it's a good choice for a drinks night too on a weekend which is smart thing to achieve as a restaurant. If I would book a group, I would do the same. Good food, good vibe, good DJ. Always a pleasure to visit any Zuma restaurant.

I’d give it 3.7 stars out of 5 just to be clear. My partner and I stayed at the St Regis and we have titanium bonvoy member status. At time of check in, we were informed by the hotel staff that all spendings on site are 20% off which we immediately went to Zuma for dinner. We went with the premium Omakase option on the menu and it is clear that the chef takes great pride of his creations. Most of the dishes are outstandingly tasty with clearly high quality/ultra fresh ingredients. (Might I point out a few things that I did not agree, perhaps this can help you save some $$$ too). The roasted Hokkaido scallop with Uni was one of the dish that I most looked forward to, but they just don’t go together. The scallops are grill to perfection, you can even taste the fire/flame in your mouth. However, it makes the sea urchin vinegary to the point both of us wonder maybe the sea urchin had already gone bad. The scampi and kataifi was intriguing because unlike the conventional tempura, the Mediterranean method of creating the dish is very fresh on the mind and to the eye. But, kataifi is very thick and heavy, it over power’s the scampi to the point you cannot even taste/nor find that shrimp in there.😂 The most disappointing dish of the evening is the dessert platter (at least that’s what says on the menu). It was a fruit platter with 2 scopes of sorbet. Not a dessert platter for one, nothing artisanal, fruits are not more outstanding than anything you find on Thai streets. Yet pricing is definitely many time higher than what you get on the streets. When we asked for the bill, the 20% off was not reflected on the invoice. One person (looks like a manager, told our waitress they do not honour bonvoy titanium member discounts, they only give the discount to residents, meaning you have to own an unit at any St Regis residences. It is totally ok. But he did so standing right beside our table, not bothered to even greet or look at us; just passing on his command to the waitress so she can repeat it to us again……… (how do you guys think or deal about the situation if you ever run into one). Then left with an annoyed look.

Also through out dinner service, you realize that manager goes over to about every table trying to make an effort, but he zoomed by us many times, at one point almost kicked my chair and not a single word.

Total bill was slightly under 15000 Baht/North of $400 USD

Food 4/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Music 4/5 (if Nobu is loud for you, then Zuma is like that). Management’s professionalism on this...

Zuma Bangkok is a sophisticated and vibrant spot that brings the best of contemporary Japanese izakaya dining to the heart of Thailand's capital. Situated in the chic district of Langsuan, the restaurant offers a sleek, modern atmosphere with an open kitchen, dark wood accents, and floor-to-ceiling windows that create a stylish yet relaxed vibe. The setting is ideal for everything from intimate dinners to lively nights out with friends.

The menu at Zuma is a celebration of high-quality ingredients and meticulous preparation. It focuses on robata (charcoal-grilled) dishes, sushi, sashimi, and signature items that showcase the best of Japanese flavors with a contemporary twist. The robata grill is the heart of the experience, and it’s here where dishes like the tender miso-marinated black cod, grilled Wagyu beef, and crispy yakitori skewers shine. Each item is prepared with a perfect balance of smoky char and delicate seasoning, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to take center stage.

For sushi and sashimi lovers, Zuma doesn’t disappoint. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the sushi is expertly prepared, with premium cuts like toro (fatty tuna) and uni (sea urchin) standing out for their melt-in-your-mouth texture. The yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño and the signature Zuma roll with tempura shrimp, avocado, and spicy mayo are both standout dishes that blend traditional techniques with bold, modern flavors.

Zuma's cocktail menu also deserves a mention. Their drinks are as expertly crafted as the food, with a variety of innovative cocktails that incorporate Japanese ingredients like yuzu, matcha, and sake. The wine list is well-curated, offering a selection of fine wines that pair beautifully with the diverse flavors on the menu.

Service at Zuma is top-notch—attentive without being overbearing—and the atmosphere is buzzing, especially in the evening when the restaurant fills with a lively crowd. Whether you’re looking for an elevated night out or a more casual dining experience, Zuma strikes a perfect balance of both.

While it’s not a budget-friendly choice, Zuma Bangkok offers an exceptional dining experience that justifies the price tag. The combination of high-quality ingredients, beautiful presentation, and impeccable service makes it one of the best places for contemporary Japanese cuisine in Bangkok. It’s an ideal destination for those looking to indulge in a luxurious yet laid-back...
