Hanoi House — Restaurant in Lumphini Subdistrict

As an avid fan of Vietnamese food, this was the worst I've had in my life. The food was so bad we asked for the bill and paid a 450 baht for the food that was barely touched. I was pretty sure that the grilled pork was not made fresh and had the texture of some thing that just came out of the microwave. The Pho was terrible - the noodles were mushy and was stuck together like it was boiled ages ago. We immediately hit a local noodle joint nearby and felt very satisfied. In summary, everything was great apart from what matters the most - the food. The hand painted decor to the modern yet nostalgic ambience some what lured us into the place but left us angry and frustrated. I've had food in 7-11 that tasted better. Food was good however staff forgot food and try to charge for food that didn't come.. service could be better your final bill they bring you is only in Thai which doesn't help when you can't read Thai, lucky my friend was with me otherwise I would have paid for food that didn't come. credit cards not accepted here. Cash only

I had a bun xao (pancake) which was OK but did not taste quite right and I think they used something different in the batter. Traditionally the fillings for these (ground pork, shrimp, been sprouts, etc) are cooked into the pancake but here they cooked the pancake then put the filling on top and folded it which makes it messier to eat.

Definerly far from the best Vietnamese I have...
