KHAO (Wireless Road) — Restaurant in Lumphini Subdistrict

In a city like Bangkok, where it’s possible to eat a fantastic Thai meal very easily this dinner was a complete disappointment. We ordered a crab taco starter which was strictly ok, a pomelo salad which was soggy and bland. The overpriced crab red curry was also quite bland however the crab meat in it was fresh and succulent. The main disappointment was the pork pad kra pao which was bone dry and not seasoned properly, the replacement dish of the stir fried pork with flat noodles also featured the same bone dry chewy pork in a bland flavourless sauce. Also notable is that all this food arrived either lukewarm or cold to our table. Additionally , there were no condiments of any kind placed on the table. Their signature cocktail Tom-Tuum was extremely bland & utterly forgettable! For these high prices, smallish portions and for classic dishes like the ones we ordered this dinner was very underwhelming. Definitely not something I would recommend if you want to eat...

ใดๆ อยากชมร้านเรื่อง service มาก ตั้งแต่แอดมินในไลน์คือตอบโคตรไว พนักงานทุกคนในร้านเทรนมาดีมากๆ ไลน์การบริการคือสมูทมากๆ ตั้งแต่พานั่ง จัดโต๊ะ จัดเมนู แนะนำอื่นๆ คือเราให้บริการดีและสมูทที่สุดที่เคยไปร้านอาหารในไทยและประเทศอื่นๆ ไม่ต้องเอ่ยปากว่าจะต้องการอะไร เค้าทำให้เองหมด attentive มากๆ อาจจะฟังดูเว่อ แต่แค่นี้จริงๆ ที่อยากได้จากการบริการร้านอาหารดีๆ (ไม่ได้ถึงขั้นต้องอุ้มไปทานนะคะ แต่เทียบกับเกรดร้าน vs การบริการ คือสมมง) ไม่เสียดายค่า service charge เลย

ข้าวแช่รสชาตดี ขอไม่เอาไชโป้วแต่เพิ่มลูกกะปิแทนก็ทำให้ เครื่องเคียงทำออกมารสชาตดีทุกอัน ตัวข้าวกลิ่นควันเทียนไม่แรงไปค่ะ

ติดลบแค่ที่จอดรถโรงแรมแคบมากกก รถใหญ่ควรขอจอดหน้าร้านเอา จะขูดกำแพง😂

The food is delicious and above standard. The flavors are bold but not overly spicy, making it perfect for those who enjoy Thai food that’s flavorful yet not bland. Every dish was well-executed with fresh, clean ingredients.

On another note, I really want to compliment the service at the restaurant. Starting from the Line admin who replied quickly, to every staff member who was very well-trained — the entire service flow was incredibly smooth. From seating us, setting the table, presenting the menu, and making recommendations — the service was the smoothest and most attentive I’ve experienced, both in Thailand and abroad. I didn’t even have to ask for anything; they anticipated our needs so well. It might sound exaggerated, but honestly, this is exactly the kind of service I hope for at a good restaurant (not to the point of carrying you to your seat, of course, but compared to the restaurant’s grade vs. the service level, it’s very well deserved). I didn’t regret paying the service charge at all.

The food prices are reasonable, not too expensive. We went as a group of four and spent about 4,000 baht, plus an additional 1,200 baht for takeout khao chae (Thai chilled rice dish).

The khao chae tasted great. I requested to replace the pickled radish (chai po) with more shrimp paste balls instead, and they were happy to accommodate. Every side dish was perfectly seasoned, and the jasmine-scented rice had just the right amount of fragrance, not overpowering.

The only downside was the parking — the hotel’s parking lot is quite narrow. If you drive a large car, it’s better to park in front of the restaurant to avoid...

방콕을 1년에 6번 정도 골프치러 놀러가는 한국 관광객입니다. 동시에 미슐랭+파인다이닝을 즐겨 다니는 Foodie입니다.

저는 힐튼호텔 다이아몬드 티어라 콘래드방콕 아니면 더수코바이 방콕에서 있습니다. 지금으로부터 4년전 우연한 기회에 EKKAMAI에 있는 미슐랭1스타 KHAO를 들리게 되었고 분위기,맛,서비스까지 너무 만족했습니다.

하지만 콘래드에서 저녁 시간에 방문하기는 EKKAMAI 너무 멀어서 한동안 못 다니다가, 콘래드에서 조깅하다가 발견한 반가운 KHAO. Langsuan,Sathon 사톤 지역에 있는 관광객이라면 이 식당을 강력추천드립니다.

저는 헝그리허브 4인팩 예약하고 방문했고,정가보다 대략 20%정도 할인 받은것 같습니다. 점심이라 맥주대신 4인팩에 포함된 목테일을 마셨고, 촉촉한 가리비 튀김 맛있고,새콤 달콤 포멜로 샐러드도 역대급 맛있으며,강력한 허브에 함꼐 나오는 larb 너무 맛있으며,호주산 와규도 맛있게 잘 먹었습니다.

역대급 큰 징거미 새우 커리도 잘 먹었습니다. 직원들은 매우 친절하고 영어도 잘 해서 의사소통에 어려움이 전혀 없습니다.

식당에 정해진 복장 규정은 없지만 그래도 파인다이닝급 식당이니 최소한의 드레스코드는 지켜야 좋을것 같습니다.

I usually travel to Bangkok about six times a year for golf, and at the same time, I’m a foodie who enjoys Michelin and fine dining spots.

Since I’m a Hilton Diamond member, I normally stay at Conrad Bangkok or The Sukhothai Bangkok. About four years ago, by chance, I tried KHAO, a Michelin one-star restaurant in Ekkamai. I was really impressed — the vibe, the flavors, the service, everything was just perfect.

The only problem was that Ekkamai felt a bit far to visit in the evenings from Conrad, so I hadn’t gone back for a while. But then one day, while jogging near Conrad, I was so happy to discover another branch of KHAO in Langsuan/Sathon. For any visitor staying in this area, I can highly recommend it.

I booked the Hungry Hub 4-person set and got roughly a 20% discount compared to the regular price. Since it was lunch, I went with the mocktails included in the set instead of beer. The crispy scallops were juicy and delicious, the sweet-and-sour pomelo salad was outstanding, the larb packed with herbs was amazing, and the Australian wagyu was cooked beautifully.

And the highlight — a massive river prawn curry that was absolutely fantastic.

The staff were super friendly, spoke excellent English, and communication was no problem at all.

There’s no strict dress code, but since it’s still a fine dining restaurant, I think it’s best to keep things a little smart...
