Khrua Nai Baan! Get ready for a home-style Thai feast that'll make you feel like you've been adopted by a super-talented Thai grandma 👵🍲. Imagine a place where the flavors are as comforting as a warm hug, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is so cozy, you might just want to move in 🏡💖. Picture yourself digging into classic Thai dishes, made with love and a secret ingredient (probably just extra garlic and a whole lot of heart) 🧄❤️. You can expect all your favorites, from fragrant curries to sizzling stir-fries, each dish bursting with authentic flavors that'll transport you straight to Thailand 🇹🇭😋. It’s a place where every meal feels like a family gathering. However, let’s be honest, sometimes "home-style Thai" can feel a bit like a real-life game of "find a parking spot," especially if it's a popular local haunt 🚗😅. And while the food is undeniably delicious, you might also find yourself questioning your ability to resist ordering everything on the menu, especially if you're a sucker for Thai food like me 🤤🍜. Overall, Khrua Nai Baan sounds like a delightful and heartwarming dining experience, a place where you can savor the true taste of Thai home cooking and maybe even make some new friends, even if you sometimes feel like you’re participating in a synchronized food coma with a hundred other...
Read moreUpon entering, we were given such confused and odd looks - almost like we weren't welcome there. Then upon ordering, we were given more attention - a lot of it in fact. The workers likely meant well by (big smile and very friendly), but were hovering over us and giving us suggestions on what to eat, how to eat it, and with which sauces to eat it, but I prefer my privacy and space when dining. Feeling watched while eating is uncomfortable. Clean environment but no windows in the main dining area felt a bit claustrophobic.
Food was 5 star. Menu is massive with plenty options spanning Thai and Chinese cuisine. Pictures of only half the food items caused us to order a type of noodle we both didn't like. Description was "stir friend noodle" and not specific enough to know it was a wide glass noodle.
Prices were exceptional for the quality of the food. Prices varied a lot within the menu though for seemingly similar valued items. For example, this was the cheapest fried rice I think I've seen in a restaurant with the most expensive mango...
Read moreI used to visit this restaurant frequently in the past but haven't been there for many years. I went there lastnight and found lots of change, there is a new building! Food is still good, naturally the price has gone up since my last visit. Service staff were very friendly, polite and attentive.
The only downside is the parking management. My husband came in another pick-up truck with my mother-in-law who had a knee operation and was using the walking stick. There was enough space for the pick-up truck to park infront of the restaurant but the staff told my husband that he cannot park at the space. So he drove his truck to the car park walked back and found another car parked at the empty spot he was not allowed to park. If you told one customer that he/she cannot park here then you shouldn't let another customer park at...
