Peace is probably the best place to try good varieties of tea, Japanese and Chinese. This tea house is run by a tea master who knows inside out about Japanese and Chinese teas. The tea selections here are top notch quality. The tea is brewed with careful temperature and procedures. Tea tastes here are superb. The Pastel Idealist Matcha is really delicious with umami taste. The Pastel perfectionist Matcha is even better with a taste from haven. I have never found such a great matcha tea elsewhere. They taste even better than in Japan. For those who cherish Chinese teas, you look for nowhere but here. They carry good quality chinese teas including green and white teas, wulong teas, black (red)tea. I find the tea selections offered here unique and you just can’t find anywhere else. The wulong type alone has many selections to choose from. I personally tried tieguanyin, jinxuan, yashixiang, guifeng dongding, rougui and i must say they are all of highest quality. For green and white teas, I tried anjibaicha, maofeng, yueguangbai. Again, they are of the highest quality. For the black tea (hongcha), i tried jinjunmei. For me, this is probably the best red chinese tea i ever tried. So if you are a tea lover, you really cannot miss this place. For those who start drinking tea, you will find the tea drinking journey here a pleasant one. Two...
Read moreVery strange experience. Been here multiple times in 1 month.
First time asked for their best grade matcha + milk and they agreed.
Second time asked for different one but remove sugar and they agreed. Without asking, they even offered to put it into a nice bowl instead of plastic cup. 👍
Third time (just a day later) I asked for no sugar and they insisted they MUST add it. They confirmed sugar is not mixed into it, they simply must ADD it “because it’s a procedure”.
It costs them nothing to not add it but they insisted to add it despite removing it just day before. Said if I want no sugar, I must buy a cheaper lower quality version. No logic there. What a strange experience.
The staff had perfect English and understood me well. I explained multiple times that they agreed for no sugar just day before.
After failed attempts to find reason, I finally gave up and said I will give them 1 star and they will lose a returning customer and she just...
Read moreThis has been one of my go-to spots since it first opened. I went there when it opened to buy some matcha powder. I wasn’t sure about the differences between the options, so I asked one of the staff. She just said, “They’re not that different.” Since I didn’t get a clear answer, I decided I’d buy both and compare them myself. But then another staff member — who wasn’t even at the counter — suddenly raised her voice and almost shouted, “You can only buy one packet!” I was honestly a bit surprised by her tone and response, as the service used to be warm and friendly. I didn’t expect such a change in attitude and lack of service-mindedness. That day, the drink I ordered wasn’t even filled to the top. In the end, i had to randomly choose one packet. I really hope that Peace will improve both its service quality and...
