Crimson Room: Where Hospitality Takes Center Stage! I was so impressed with Crimson Room that I ended up visiting two nights in a row! It's truly a rare gem in the Bangkok nightlife scene, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a sophisticated, entertaining, and unforgettable experience. I would like to especially thank James, Khem and 1Shot band (Adrian, Rya, Ella, Marisa, Peter and Burin) for making my time at Crimson Room absolutely incredible, for making Crimson Room one of the highlights of my Bangkok trip. These are the people that not only makes me want to return to Crimson Room, but to fly all the way back to Bangkok. They are Ambassadors of Crimsom Room, and also Ambassadors of Thailand.
It has been a desire of mine to visit the Crimson Room in Bangkok for some time, I live in Singapore. This trip to Bangkok, I decided to incorporate it into my itinerary but it was fully booked (please book early especially if you are visiting on Fri/Sat due to the banger of a band (1shot) that plays on Fri and Sat, more on this incredible band later.)
On Friday night I decided to just walk-in. Upon entry, I was greeted with the friendliest of staffs. James, the head bartender, was busy mixing drinks but took the time to smile, greet me and tell me, "we are abit full right now, but we would love to have you join us, please give us some time to accommodate you". The true magic of Crimson Room lies in its exceptional hospitality. The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable, making me feel like a valued guest from the very beginning. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and enjoyment, even remembering my preferences from the previous night! The cocktail and drinks were incredible, I ordered almost every single signature cocktail throughout the two nights and was not disappointed. With some cocktails getting a second order! They were mixed well, delicious and unique. Thank you James and Khem for making my time there magical!
Speaking of the night, I have to give it up to the band, 1Shot! What truly elevates Crimson Room to the pinnacle of Bangkok's nightlife isn't just the ambiance or the hospitality, but the pulse of the place: 1Shot. They truly are the heartbeat of the Crimson Room.
This is a band that transcends just playing melodies together. Beyond their immense incredible individual talent, was their chemistry. They played as one and their synergy and harmony were through the roof. Don't imagine just a live band at a bar, but a full-fledged interactive concert, only better. They were not just a band, but the best entertainers and performers in Thailand. Their energy was contagious, and soon the entire bar was filled with laughter, dancing, and good vibes. It was the perfect setting to unwind, relax, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
They took the time to acknowledge me personally, making me feel like a part of the show, not just a spectator. This simple gesture created a sense of belonging and community that made my experience at Crimson Room all the more special.
I hope the essence of Crimson Room will always be the same, these people. I will be back for more, sooner...

A glamorous night in Bangkok. Tucked away beyond the city’s glittering lights— lies a secret place: Crimson Room.
Step inside, and you're transported straight into the 1920s. Like walking into a scene from The Great Gatsby. 🥂✨
Antique gold accents, velvet curtains in a deep, dramatic crimson red. Soaring ceilings and warm, ambient lighting. And at the front— a lone standing microphone.
The space isn’t large, nor is the stage, but it’s designed solely for music and stillness, for listening and lingering.
This place never raises its voice. It doesn’t burn wildly, nor beg to be seen. It simply seeps in— softly, elegantly, like silk on bare skin. ✨♥️
On a quiet weekday evening, a vocalist and pianist guide us through three intimate hours.
The singer’s voice —somewhere between jazz and pop— still young, still blooming. 🌸 Not fully ripened yet, but within it, you hear the promise of depth. Emotions not quite reached float gently beneath each note, like a quiet foreword to something more. 🎵
The pianist, Kim, plays with clarity and ease. Maybe it's because I’ve been listening to a lot of jazz piano lately, but his sound feels especially familiar, comforting.
When I mention my love for Bill Evans, he gifts me an impromptu "Autumn Leaves." It becomes an unforgettable offering of the night. 🍁🎹
Time slows down. Sound spreads like velvet. And night wears its most beautiful shade of red.
Just being there is enough— to feel enchanted, immersed, alive. A 5,000 baht table, and somehow… it feels entirely worth it.
Crimson. Here, it’s not just a color. It’s Passion, Romance, Mystery, Luxury— all wrapped into one mood, one texture, and this very night… mine. 🌙🍷
📝 Just a small note before you go.. Table seating requires a minimum spend of 5,000 THB, and advance booking is highly recommended. Bar seats may feel a bit narrow for some, according to reviews, though during my visit, many guests seemed perfectly content there for hours.
Performances at Crimson Room feature a different vocalist and musician each night. The mood, the voice, the atmosphere — they may all shift from evening to evening. But perhaps even that unpredictability is part of this place’s...
Read moreWe’ve booked a table for two and came to the place feeling very excited about being able to experience a jazz club. But unfortunately our expectations weren’t met. I put 3 stars for this place just for two reasons: for the artist and the musician who did a great job, performed amazingly, the singer had wonderful voice and the pianist was really talented too; and the atmosphere and decorations - it does resemble those New York jazz clubs. These are the only two good things about this place. Once we arrived (we booked in advance), we were offered a table by the wall with no room for legs so we changed our table and sat at the parody of a bar counter. The “parody” because this was the most uncomfortable place to sit, the chairs were small, shaky, the counter was so thin that only a phone and a glass could fit onto, our back hurt a lot while sitting. We could sit only for half an hour and then left. But it’s not all. Crimson Room does not care about their customers’ experience at all - when we arrived, a group of people had been already sitting at the front table, pretty drunk, and they were talking and laughing SO loudly, we could not hear the band playing!! The staff did nothing! Only when another customer asked, one waitress came up to the group and told them to be more respectful towards other people in the bar, but of course they continued shouting, then loudly discussing prices and bills, my husband and I felt as if we were on some night market, but definitely not in a jazz club bar where you pay 500B for a drink. The next thing, dear Crimson Room, if you say “Jazz Band”, please, make sure it is really a jazz band. The artist was great, he was really talented and I thank him for the performance, but that was definitely not a JAZZ BAND, one solo artist with a pianist may not sound like a jazz band for jazz enthusiasts. I expected to see wind instruments and drums, real jazz, but not something that simple, especially when you set such high prices! In the end we left just as we finished our drinks, our spoilt evening cost us 1000B which lasted for...
