I’d give this place a 4.5 out of 5, but since there isn’t such an option, I’m giving it a rating of 5.
The food was good. It met my expectations, although it didn’t wow me.
It’s definitely better than the branch at Iconsiam. The servers were nice, prompt, and friendly. The place was clean as well.
We ordered shrimp in fish sauce topped with spicy sauce, which was okay, but better than the one we had at somboon seafood at Siam square one earlier. Thai style spicy salad with salmon and lotus, which I didn’t like quite much since the sauce kinda took away the juiciness of the salmon Thai style spicy salad with pickled shrimp, which was good caramelized pork knuckle stew, which was great! Best dish of tonight! stir fried wagyu with Thai basil topped with rice. This was overcooked like the one at Iconsiam, slightly better though. We believe it’s because wagyu doesn’t go well for this dish. It’s easy to get overcooked. stir fried crab meat with rice, which was for my husband and he liked it stir fried morning glory. Second best of the night! Thai style coconut milk chicken soup, I don’t remember the name, but it’s too sour for us.
Drink wise, we had one strawberry lychee smoothie and one strawberry juice soda. The smoothie was great, but be careful of the long lasting brain freeze effect especially when you felt too spicy from the food and needed some drinks. The soda was...

When it comes to authentic Thai food, my wife always does her research, and she absolutely nailed it with Kub Kao Kub Pla at EmQuartier. This highly-rated restaurant exceeded all expectations, serving up bold flavors and comforting classics that made every bite a winner. Even now, I still remember how good it was—this place truly delivers on taste! 🔥
The menu offered a fantastic variety of traditional Thai dishes, and we made sure to try a bit of everything. The crispy pork belly with chili and basil was an instant favorite, packed with intense flavors and the perfect balance of spice. The green curry with tender chicken was rich and creamy, while the tom yum soup hit just the right notes of sour and spicy. Every dish was beautifully presented and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, showcasing the best of Thai cuisine.
The restaurant itself had a stylish yet cozy atmosphere, making it a great spot for a relaxed family meal. The service was also top-notch, with friendly staff who made sure we had a wonderful dining experience.
If you’re in Bangkok and craving authentic Thai food, Kub Kao Kub Pla is an absolute must-visit. Whether you’re a fan of fiery stir-fries, aromatic curries, or comforting home-style dishes, this place has something to satisfy every craving. Already looking forward to our...
Read moredisappointed by unprofessional, even discriminatory attitude by the staff of this branch, who clearly favor local Thai over look like foreign tourists. For example, ordering three watermelon juices, we were served in disposable plastic cups, while every other table received theirs in glassware. This plastic has other restaurant’s logo. Probably save the cost?
When we ordered Tom Yum soup, it should have been served with a heater to maintain its warmth while we have, but our table was the only one neglected in this regard. Every other table had their heaters promptly set up.
The casual and neglectful attitude towards service, presumably because we are perceived as tourists, is deeply disappointed. I have been living in Thailand for quite some time, and I brought my friends, who are visiting, to a restaurant I frequent. This experience at the Central Embassy branch has left such a bad taste that I vow never to use this restaurant.
Perhaps our relatively modest bill of around 3000 baht for three people deemed us unworthy of proper treatment, but regardless, I refuse to tolerate such a bad mood. It was my last visit...
