Honeymoon Restaurant - A Solo Feast in Phuket's Famous Eatery

Found myself at the famous Honeymoon Restaurant in Phuket last night - yes, ALONE. Nothing quite like walking into a place with that name by yourself to really highlight your life choices.

It immediately reminded me of my second honeymoon with...what was her name again? Oh right, Melissa. That honeymoon was TERRIBLE. She spent the entire trip contradicting everything I said. The marriage counseling sessions that followed mostly consisted of me presenting evidence of why I was right, which she called "obsessive." Can you believe that?

BUT ANYWAY, this restaurant was SIGNIFICANTLY better than any dining experience from that doomed marriage! The som tam was absolutely INCREDIBLE - perfectly balanced between spicy, sour, and sweet. The authentic Southern Thai flavors were exactly what I'd been searching for since arriving in Phuket.

There was a huge table of Russians ahead of me - about 12 of them in food order queue. But somehow, I got my food FIRST! Not sure if it was the universe finally giving me a win or just efficient kitchen management. Either way, I wasn't complaining!

The staff were just so friendly - treating me like family rather than some sad solo diner at a place called "Honeymoon." The whole experience felt authentic and welcoming. Honestly, it was the best restaurant experience I could have asked for in Phuket.

If you're in Phuket - whether with someone special or gloriously solo like me - don't miss this place. Sometimes the best honeymoon is the one you have with a perfect...

After many disappointing places in Phuket we have decided to give the Honeymoon resturant a chance and it was a great decision.

The resturant is calm, and the guys working there are humble and are all about making sure you will have a good experience.

We tried the Beef Pad Thai and Pannag Curry with Shrimps. By far the best Pad Thai we had in Phuket as it was perfectly seasoned and also a hefty sized portion. The Curry was also very tasty and the shrimp was fresh and delicious.

Later the owner gave us their chicken wings on the house which were also just perfect, and by the time we finished our plates we were treated with cold watermelon for dessert.

To conclude, please don't skip this place if you are in Phuket, With some new decoration and branding this resturant could have been easily a high end place with a long...

The vibe/atmosphere: 5/5 very cute inside and outside with lots of plants.

The service: 5/5 friendly, attentive, even brought out some complimentary chicken wings which were fried to perfection.

The food and price: 3/5 I got the stir friend chicken with basil and rice. There was nothing particular terrible about the dish, but there was nothing particularly good either. There was barely any flavor in the sauce-It was underwhelming and hands down the most expensive meal Ive had in Phuket. For the price- to me it was lacking. People seem to love this place though, so I will give it another try in the future and get something different.
