The Coffee Club - Days Inn Hotel — Restaurant in Patong

Although I can see lots of people have had a great experience at this Coffee Club, unfortunately we weren’t so lucky. I’m not a big fan of writing negative reviews, I tend to only write about positive experiences, but the service at this Coffee Club on Sunday morning was terrible. We were being picked up for a tour at 10am, so figured we had time for breakfast. We ordered at 9am. 2 of us got our drinks in good time (very tasty), the other persons never came at all. Then 1 of our meals turned up, but was wrong. They quickly fixed this. Meanwhile the other 2 meals never came. By 9:25am we asked what was going on and explained we had to leave by 9:50am. We waited, then at 9:45am our 2 meals came out, 1 completely wrong. My wife and I decided to share my meal, and had to scoff it down in 5 minutes. This is not the experience I’ve had with Coffee Clubs on Phuket, so am sure it’s a one off. I actually went to another Coffee Club this morning, and the food and service was as expected, absolutely amazing. As I said, I’m not a fan of writing negative reviews, but on this occasion I feel we were really let down. We certainly won’t visit this Coffee Club again while we’re here. First of all it was extremely hot. At 7/11 AC works much better than here! I couldn't enjoy staying there really too hot and the door was opening each time someone was passing by the place. So i thought that i will just drink something refreshing. I thought watermelon frappe is a good option. I asked if it is too sweet, they told me it is a little sweet. Good i asked to try, no watermelon taste only sugar! Terrible! I asked for mango mojito, asked to make it not sweet. It was good. My husband's yuzy margarita was good too. So 2 points for cocktails. Walked in here for breakfast given its proximity to my hotel and also the reviews and menu options available. The place was quite busy, and the menu offers a lot of Western breakfast and meals with some local options, too, and of course, coffee. I ordered poached eggs with chicken breast and steamed spinach. My friend ordered eggs with parma ham. The eggs were nicely done for both of us. No complaints there. The sore point was the service and the coffee. The service was struggling to manage the load of orders. My order took 30 minutes to come. I then asked for a tiramisu twice, and it never came. The coffee was a bigger disappointment.
