It’s hot food served on hot plates. Like, finger burning hot. I didn’t know much about the place before but it’s my cousin’s favourite. ‘Porn Lamai (ครัวพรละมัย)’. Sounds sexual, don’t you think? but nah, nothing to do with anything in bed but in the kitchen! Their open kitchen just right there for you to enjoy the cooking and the fire!
The plates/small pans get heated up every time the food get put on. They’re known for their Suki Yaki and oyster omelette. I honestly am not into the oyster omelette much but their stir fry suki is sure on my top list for this year.
The food was good but one thing I need to warn you all, never order drinks for the place. I sat just right behind the drink stall and I just couldn’t stand the process of cups cleaning. Don’t let me have a chance to tell you after you went there ‘I told you so..’

Read moreCame at dinner time and surprisingly there was no queue! Ordered the star dish which was the fried noodle with seafood and sauce as well as the prawn vermicelli.
They make a show out of pouring the sauce in front of you with a great sizzle as the pan is really hot. But even after poking around …where was the noodle??? Could not find it. Turns out the egg like thing that the servers were pouring the sauce on was supposed to be the noodle.
It was quite interesting, with what the Cantonese call wok hey especially when eating towards the end. This is likely the dish I would recommend, tho it was a little on the salty side.
The prawn vermicelli was not bad too, decent portions with quite a few prawns but perhaps nothing much to shout about.
Particularly enjoyed the fresh young coconut and the coconut smoothie though...
Read moreOne night we had a great Tom yam soup and a pretty good mussels with fried egg as well. We liked the street atmosphere and the service was fast HOWEVER we went there again last night and we had item no 1 and 2 from the menu.
First, they gave my girlfriend a meal that looked off and wasn't what we ordered. They saw she's hesitant to eat it so they came, took the meal, apologised and gave a new one that looked more like what we ordered.
My girlfriend had the first prawn bite and said straight away that the it tastes off and that she won't have any more of it even someone would pay her to.
Fast forward to this morning, my girlfriend is in hospital with cold sweats, vomiting, diarrhoea and our last day of this this has been RUINED.
Kudos points for the dismissive staff when we pointed the poor...
