I came twice, the first time I didn't go in bcos you must get a cash card. The cashier don’t take credit card payments. For foreigners like me, I hardly use cash anymore iny own country, and I don't expect to trade with cash in a "high end" place such as Mahanakhon Cube. That's strike numero uno! So, this time, I went dinner downstairs at Mahanakhon Eatery.
Second attempt, paid cash card with cash as required. When the cashier handed me the cash card. He said, "Youu have to return the cash card for redemption before 8pm." My goodness me! How many more rules does anyone have to go through just to eat here?! Strike #2!
Ordered my food, and as expected. Like many other reviews have commented. The food is overpriced, portions too small, and taste is not as good as the original stahl from! Strike #3!
Seriously, I've been to many restaurants at Mahanakhon Cube. Even to the Michelin starred one (yes, there was one, believe it or not). I don't have an issue paying for something that my money is worth. But definitely, not at this place. As one of the reviews said, yes, this is a tourist trap.
Btw, I don't write only because I'm not satisfied and write the one and only review. I write plenty of honesty and unbiased reviews on Google reviews. I don't write many bad reviews, but when there's one like this one. You bet it is a terrible one.
Congratulations, you read this to the end. You should be walking out the...
Read moreI rarely leave bad reviews but this time I couldn't stay silent. Yesterday my boyfriend's family and I bought tickets for a tall glass building in your area in Bangkok, and we were given a voucher for 1,000 Baht for all of us to have dinner at your restaurant. We arrived just before closing and ordered pizza and Bolognese with Wagyu meat from the Italian section. My boyfriend and I ate it, and within literally 20 minutes, I started feeling unwell; then the nausea hit me in the taxi. My boyfriend started feeling nauseous about an hour later, and he felt really bad. Then he started vomiting heavily, developed weakness and a fever. It’s now the second day, October 23rd, and he still feels awful, and we’re supposed to fly out in just 12 hours, which is a complete nightmare. From what I understand, this is quite an elite establishment with a wide selection of dishes at high prices, which should justify themselves in both taste and quality. But as it turns out, this was not the case, because what we’re dealing with now is extreme weakness, intoxication, and feeling terrible, all caused by the Bolognese pasta – there’s no doubt about it. I don't know what was done to that meat or what mistake the chefs made, but be careful when ordering this dish (Bolognese with Wagyu meat). Take care...
Read moreIf you're arriving early, Mahanakhon Eatery is a fantastic place to relax with a cup of coffee while waiting for the main Mahanakhon experience to begin—it opens earlier, making it a convenient starting point.
You can head up to the main attraction, enjoy the key activities, then return for a delicious lunch at the eatery before continuing with the rest of your visit.
The food was impressively appetizing and beautifully presented, with a great mix of hot and cold options. I was genuinely surprised by the quality and variety available. Prices were more affordable than expected, especially for such a popular Bangkok destination. I had a generously sized spicy chicken dish that kept me full all day, and the ramen noodles came in a massive portion—definitely satisfying!
The dining area is spacious with plenty of seating, making it ideal for indoor dining. It caters to a steady flow of visitors and still manages to feel comfortable. Bonus points for using real silverware—it adds a nice touch of class.
I really enjoyed my brunch here. The morning hours are especially peaceful, offering a more relaxed atmosphere before the evening crowds arrive.
Highly recommend stopping by for a memorable and...
