There are hundreds of quality ramen shops in Bangkok but Gantetsu holds a special place in my heart. Comforting ramen, flavorful homemade chashu cooked perfectly every time, better than majority of ramen shops I’ve been to, not just in Thailand.
Chahan also one of Gantetsu’s best dishes. Any high level ramen shops will always offer delicious fried rice as a side menu.
As for ramen, tonkotsu corn butter or miso corn butter are my favorites. Curry and Abura soba also pretty tasty but not nearly as good.
Had a little chat with the owner lady, they seems to be struggling lately, not as many customers. I seriously hope the situation will get better, this high level ramen shop deserves a long successful run for many more...
Read moreVery good ramen, it was very spicy, as it should be. Staff is really nice and helpful and teas are delicious. Hidden gem in Bangkok. Restaurant style is very much Japanese.
