I introduced to this food stall by a fella country friend of mine who has bussiness here.
Tom yum kung Banglamphu (original), I thought: every food stall would have claimed that they are the "original" one.. 🤔 BUT this vendor is really deserve to claim that.. Because their tom yum is really the MOST DELICIOUS tom yum that I ever tasted in Thailand nor out of Thailand..
The place is "just" a street vendor under a tent, but the food they provided are 5 stars hotel quality.. The portion are enough for 2-4 people (beside the rice).. The taste, especially the tom yum, is really the BEST.. And other food on the menu as well.. The owner and the staffs are friendly, helpful and proactive.. The place itself already clean enough for street vendor's criteria.. The food are all cooked by the time you order.. Though the location is in tourist area, the price is not tourist price.. As I saw many locals also ate there.. And there is no different price between English menu nor Thai's menu..
Tom yum kung is surely the master piece as it is become their name..
I highly highly recommending...
Read moreThe comment from one lady stating this is the best Tom Yum ever and then laughing hysterically is probably the most accurate comment I’ve ever read on google maps.
The place didn’t look up to western standards higiene wise, so if this was my last meal oh boy, what a meal.
Like, seriously, it was that good. Can’t stop thinking about it.
Saw this place on a Mark Wiens video and decided to check it out, and it was the best decision of the trip. Prices seem on par with the ones from a proper restaurant, but portions are huge and they don’t hold back with the shrimps (which are huuuuge and fresh). They really put their whole thaidussy of spicy flavor into that soup, idk.
Place was full of locals, a couple of Chinese tourists and me. I will just say it probably doesn’t get more authentic than this being so near...
Read moreThis is the stall that I know from Mark Wiens video. There are 2 places in the area that sell similiar food items, and this one is the smaller stall in the area, beside the parking lot gate. The taste of the food is delicious, but not sure if this is the most delicious tomyum in Bangkok or not, since I'm just a tourist. For the place, it is quite small and typical of street food stall, but usually the food at a place like this is more delicious then the one at the beautiful and comfy restaurant. You can try this if you are on the...
